Setup

Charging the Battery

Before initial use, fully charge the Dyson V8 Absolute battery. Connect the charger to the docking station or directly to the vacuum's charging port. The battery indicator lights will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged. A full charge provides up to 40 minutes of run time in standard mode.

Installing the Docking Station

The docking station facilitates convenient storage and charging. Select a suitable location near a power outlet. Secure the docking station to the wall using appropriate screws and anchors (not included). Once installed, the vacuum can be easily docked for charging and quick access.

Operating Instructions

Power Modes

The Dyson V8 Absolute features two power modes: Standard and MAX. The standard mode provides an optimal balance between power and run time for everyday cleaning. For tougher dirt and debris, activate MAX mode using the slider on the main unit. Note that MAX mode will reduce battery life.

Attaching and Detaching Tools

To attach a tool, align it with the end of the wand or the main unit and push until it clicks into place. To detach, press the red release button on the tool and pull it away. This mechanism allows for quick transitions between cleaning tasks and surfaces.

Cleaning Different Surfaces

Maintenance

Emptying the Bin

To empty the clear bin, position the vacuum over a trash receptacle. Push the red lever down to release the bin flap and discharge the collected contents. Ensure the bin flap is securely closed after emptying. Regular bin emptying is recommended to maintain optimal suction performance.

Washing the Filter

The Dyson V8 Absolute incorporates a washable HEPA filter. To remove the filter, twist it counter-clockwise from the top of the main unit. Rinse the filter under cold running water until the water runs clear. Squeeze out any excess water and allow it to air dry completely for a minimum of 24 hours before reinsertion. Do not use a tumble dryer or expose it to direct heat sources.

Troubleshooting

• No Power: Verify that the battery is fully charged. Confirm that the charger is correctly connected to both the vacuum and a functional power outlet.
• Reduced Suction: Empty the dust bin. Inspect for any obstructions in the cleaner head, wand, or main unit. Ensure the filter is clean, dry, and properly reinserted.
