  • Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or an approved screen cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals.

  • Ports: Keep ports free of dust and debris. Use compressed air carefully if needed.

5.2. Battery Care

  • Avoid extreme temperatures, which can degrade battery life.
  • For optimal long-term health, try to keep the battery charge between 20% and 80% when possible, rather than constantly fully charging or fully discharging.
  • Perform regular Windows updates, as these often include battery management improvements.

5.3. Software Updates

Regularly check for and install Windows updates to ensure your system has the latest security patches, features, and performance improvements. Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1. Common Issues and Solutions

  • Device not powering on:
Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the laptop and a working power outlet. Try a different outlet. If the battery is completely drained, it may take a few minutes of charging before the device can power on.
  • Screen is blank or unresponsive:
Try pressing the power button briefly to wake the device from sleep. If unresponsive, perform a forced shutdown by holding the power button for about 10 seconds, then restart.
  • Wi-Fi connectivity issues:
Check if Wi-Fi is enabled in Windows settings. Restart your router and modem. Run the Windows Network Troubleshooter (Start > Settings > Network & internet > Advanced network settings > Network troubleshooter).
  • Slow performance:
Close unnecessary applications. Check Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) for processes consuming high CPU or RAM. Ensure Windows is up to date. Consider running a disk cleanup.
  • Touchscreen not responding:
Restart the device. Check for updated display drivers in Device Manager. Ensure the screen is clean and free of obstructions.
