2. Safety Instructions
Please read all instructions before using this machine to prevent accidents and ensure safe operation.
- Always unplug the machine from the electrical outlet when cleaning, making adjustments, or when the machine is not in use.
- Keep fingers away from all moving parts, especially around the needle area.
- Use only the accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
- Never operate the machine if it has a damaged cord or plug, or if it is not working properly.
- Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.

4. Setup
4.1 Power Connection
Connect the power cord to the machine's power input and then to a suitable electrical outlet (100-240V, 50Hz). If using the electronic foot pedal, connect it to the designated port on the machine.

4.2 Bobbin Winding and Insertion
- Place a spool of thread on the spool pin.
- Follow the bobbin winding path indicated on the machine.
- Place an empty bobbin onto the bobbin winder spindle and push it to the right.
- Start winding by pressing the start/stop button or the foot pedal. The machine will automatically stop when the bobbin is full.
- For insertion, open the bobbin cover. Place the wound bobbin into the bobbin case with the thread unwinding counter-clockwise. Pull the thread through the tension slot.

4.3 Upper Threading
- Raise the presser foot lever.
- Place the thread spool on the spool pin.
- Follow the numbered threading path down to the needle.
- Use the automatic needle threader by lowering the threader lever and guiding the thread through the hook.
- Pull the thread loop through the needle eye.

5. Operating
5.1 Stitch Selection
Use the stitch selection buttons and the backlit LCD screen to choose from the 200 available stitches. The screen will display the selected stitch number, recommended stitch length, and width.

5.2 Sewing Basics
- Place fabric under the presser foot.
- Lower the presser foot.
- Lower the needle into the fabric using the needle up/down button.
- Begin sewing by pressing the start/stop button or the foot pedal.
- Adjust sewing speed using the speed control slider.
5.3 Buttonhole Function
The Jaguar 200SQ offers 9 styles of one-step automatic buttonholes. Attach the 1-step automatic buttonhole foot, select the desired buttonhole stitch, and the machine will automatically sew the buttonhole to the correct size based on the button placed in the foot.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the smooth operation and extends the life of your sewing machine.
- Cleaning: Regularly clean lint and dust from the bobbin case area and feed dogs using the provided lint brush.

- Storage: When not in use, cover the machine with the vinyl protective cover and store it in the semi-rigid carrying bag to protect it from dust and damage.
