Setup

Before using the RUPES D-A Intermediate Foam Pad, ensure your polishing machine is clean and in good working order. This pad is designed for use with compatible RUPES BigFoot polishing systems.

  1. Inspect the Pad: Carefully examine the foam pad for any damage, tears, or debris before attachment. A damaged pad can affect performance and potentially scratch the surface being polished.
  2. Clean Backing Plate: Ensure the backing plate of your polishing machine is clean and free of dust or old compound residue.
  3. Attach Pad: Align the center of the foam pad with the center of the backing plate. Press firmly to ensure the hook-and-loop (Velcro) attachment is secure across the entire surface of the pad. A properly attached pad will run smoothly and without wobble.
