3. Setup and Assembly
The DEWINNER DE1610 requires some assembly before first use. Follow these steps carefully.
3.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Check the contents against the packing list to ensure all parts are present and undamaged.
- Dispose of packaging materials responsibly.
3.2 Attaching the Auxiliary Handle
Attach the auxiliary handle to the main shaft. Ensure it is securely fastened and adjusted to a comfortable position for operation.
3.3 Installing the Safety Guard
Mount the safety guard over the cutting head. This guard protects against flying debris and is essential for safe operation. Ensure it clicks into place or is screwed on tightly according to the design.

3.4 Charging the Battery

3.5 Attaching the Battery
Once fully charged, slide the battery pack into the battery compartment on the trimmer until it clicks securely into place.
4. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your DEWINNER grass trimmer and edger.
4.1 Adjusting the Telescopic Pole
To adjust the length of the trimmer, loosen the locking collar on the telescopic pole. Extend or retract the pole to your desired length (between 85 cm and 140 cm) and then tighten the locking collar securely.

4.2 Adjusting the Cutting Angle
The cutting head can be adjusted to various angles (0-90°) to suit different trimming and edging needs. Press the angle adjustment button or lever, set the head to the desired angle, and release to lock it in place.

4.3 Switching Between Trimmer and Edger Mode
To switch from trimming to edging, rotate the head of the tool 90 degrees. This allows for precise cutting along edges and pathways.

4.4 Starting and Stopping the Trimmer
- To Start: Press and hold the safety lock-off button, then squeeze the trigger switch. Both must be engaged simultaneously.
- To Stop: Release the trigger switch. The cutting line will stop spinning.
4.5 Automatic Line Feed
The trimmer features an automatic line feed system. When the cutting line wears down, it will automatically extend more line as needed during operation. If the line does not feed, briefly stop the motor and restart it to activate the automatic feed mechanism.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your DEWINNER grass trimmer.
5.1 Cleaning
- Always remove the battery before cleaning.
- Clean the tool after each use. Wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth.
- Remove any grass clippings or debris from the cutting head and safety guard. Use a brush if necessary.

5.2 Replacing the Cutting Line
