4.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Slide the cover open in the direction indicated by the arrow.
- Insert three (3) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).

Press the HOLD button to freeze the current reading on the display. Press it again to release and resume live measurement.

Press the MAX button to display the maximum value recorded since the device was powered on or the MAX function was reset. This is useful for identifying peak radiation levels.
