FOHERE Manual Citrus Juicer Squeezer (Model 1158)

User Instruction Manual

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the FOHERE Manual Citrus Juicer Squeezer, Model 1158. This robust and efficient hand press juicer is designed to extract juice from a variety of fruits, including oranges, lemons, grapefruits, pomegranates, and grapes. Constructed from heavy-duty cast iron and food-grade stainless steel, it offers durability and ease of use. The detachable components ensure simple cleaning and maintenance.

This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation of your juicer. Please read it thoroughly before first use and retain it for future reference.

2. Safety Instructions

To ensure safe operation and prevent injury or damage, please observe the following precautions:

  • Always place the juicer on a stable, flat, and non-slip surface before use. The thickened cast iron base with anti-slip feet is designed for stability.
  • Keep hands and fingers clear of the pressing mechanism during operation to avoid pinching.
  • This is a manual juicer and does not use electricity or contain sharp blades, making it inherently safer than electric alternatives.
  • Ensure all detachable parts (pressure cap, strainer, funnel) are correctly assembled before juicing.
  • Supervise children when the juicer is in use or accessible.
  • Do not attempt to juice fruits that are too large for the strainer or excessively hard, as this may damage the unit.

3. Parts Overview

Familiarize yourself with the main components of your FOHERE Manual Citrus Juicer:

  • Cast Iron Lever: The handle used to apply pressure for juicing.
  • Pressure Cap: The top component that presses down on the fruit. Made of 304 stainless steel.
  • Strainer: The perforated component that holds the fruit and separates pulp from juice. Made of 304 stainless steel.
  • Funnel: Collects the juice and directs it into the cup. Made of 304 stainless steel.
  • Cast Iron Base: Provides stability and support for the entire unit.
  • Anti-Slip Feet: Located on the base to prevent movement during use.
  • Stainless Steel Cup: A 400ml (13.5oz) cup included for collecting juice.

4. Setup

Your FOHERE Manual Citrus Juicer comes largely pre-assembled. Follow these steps for initial setup:

  1. Unpack all components from the packaging.
  2. Place the cast iron base on a clean, stable countertop. Ensure the anti-slip feet are firmly gripping the surface.
  3. Insert the stainless steel funnel into the designated slot on the base.
  4. Place the stainless steel strainer securely on top of the funnel.
  5. Ensure the pressure cap is attached to the lever mechanism. It should align directly above the strainer.
  6. Before first use, wash all detachable stainless steel parts (pressure cap, strainer, funnel, and included cup) with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to effectively juice your fruits:

  1. Prepare the Fruit: Cut the fruit (e.g., orange, lemon, grapefruit) in half. For pomegranates, it is recommended to cut them into quarters for easier juicing.
  2. Position the Cup: Place the included 400ml stainless steel cup, or another suitable container, directly under the funnel to collect the juice.
  3. Lift the Lever: Raise the juicer's lever to its highest position. This ensures maximum clearance for placing the fruit and prevents the lever from falling unexpectedly.
  4. Place the Fruit: Position one half of the cut fruit onto the strainer, cut-side down.
  5. Begin Juicing: Hold the back of the juicer's base firmly with one hand for stability. With the other hand, slowly and steadily press the lever down. Apply consistent pressure until all the juice is extracted.
  6. Repeat: Lift the lever, remove the squeezed fruit half, and repeat the process with the next fruit piece.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and hygienic operation of your juicer:

  1. Disassembly: After each use, lift the lever and carefully remove the pressure cap, strainer, and funnel from the main unit.
  2. Rinsing: Rinse all detachable stainless steel parts under running water to remove any pulp or juice residue.
  3. Washing: The pressure cap, strainer, funnel, and stainless steel cup are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash them by hand with warm, soapy water and a soft brush or sponge.
  4. Drying: Ensure all parts are thoroughly dried before reassembly or storage to prevent water spots or corrosion.
  5. Base Cleaning: Wipe down the cast iron base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
  6. Storage: Store the juicer in a clean, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your FOHERE Manual Citrus Juicer, please refer to the following common solutions:

Juicer slides on countertopSurface is wet or slippery; anti-slip feet are dirty.Ensure countertop is dry and clean; clean the anti-slip feet.
