3. Setup
3.1 Attaching the Lens
- Ensure the camera is powered off.
- Remove the rear lens cap from the lens and the body cap from the camera.
- Align the mounting mark on the lens with the mounting mark on the camera body.
- Rotate the lens counter-clockwise until it clicks into place.
3.2 Attaching the Lens Hood (HB-113)
- Align the lens hood mounting mark with the mark on the front of the lens.
- Rotate the hood until it clicks into place.
- To remove, press the release button on the hood and rotate it.

4. Operating the Lens
4.1 Zooming
Rotate the zoom ring to adjust the focal length between 70mm and 180mm. The current focal length is indicated on the lens barrel.
4.2 Focus Mode Switch (A/M)
- A (Autofocus): The lens will automatically focus.
- M (Manual Focus): Rotate the focus ring to manually adjust focus.
4.3 Control Ring
