4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charging

Before installation, fully charge the camera's internal battery using the provided Type-C cable. This ensures the camera has sufficient power for initial setup and operation, especially if solar charging conditions are not optimal immediately after installation.

4.2 App Download and Account Creation

  1. Download the official HOOISE security camera application from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
  2. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create a new user account.
  3. Log in to your newly created account.

4.3 Camera Pairing and WiFi Connection

  1. In the app, select the option to add a new device.
  2. Power on the camera. The camera will enter pairing mode, indicated by a specific LED light pattern or voice prompt.
  3. Follow the app's instructions to connect the camera to your 2.4GHz WiFi network. Ensure your smartphone is also connected to the same 2.4GHz network during this process.
  4. Once connected, the camera will confirm successful pairing, and you should see its live feed in the app.

5.1 Live View and Pan/Tilt Control

Open the HOOISE app and select your camera to view the live feed. Use the on-screen controls to pan the camera horizontally (336°) and tilt it vertically (108°) to adjust the viewing angle as needed.

5.2 Two-Way Audio

While in live view, tap the microphone icon in the app to speak through the camera's speaker. Tap the speaker icon to listen to audio from the camera's surroundings.

5.3 Motion Detection and Alerts

The camera's PIR sensor detects human motion. When motion is detected, you will receive an instant notification on your smartphone. You can customize detection sensitivity and define specific detection zones within the app settings to minimize false alarms.

While the solar panel provides continuous charging, its effectiveness can vary with weather conditions and sunlight exposure. In periods of prolonged cloudy weather or during winter months with shorter daylight hours and frequent detections, the battery may discharge faster than it recharges. If the battery level becomes critically low, you may need to temporarily remove the camera and recharge it using the Type-C cable indoors.

6.3 SD Card Management
