2. Important Safety Instructions

4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging.
- Remove all packing materials, tapes, and protective films.
- Inspect the unit for any damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.
4.2 Placement
- Place the dehumidifier on a firm, level surface to prevent vibrations and water leakage.
- Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of unobstructed space around the air inlet and outlet for optimal airflow.
- The Eeese Emma Dehumidifier is suitable for rooms up to 50 m².
- This unit is IPX4 rated, making it suitable for use in bathrooms and other damp environments.
4.3 Power Connection
- Ensure the power cord is fully extended and free from kinks.
- Plug the power cord into a properly grounded electrical outlet.
4.4 Continuous Drainage (Optional)
For continuous operation without needing to empty the water tank, you can connect a drain hose (often included) to the unit.
- Locate the continuous drainage outlet at the back of the dehumidifier (refer to Figure 3.3).
- Connect one end of the drain hose to this outlet.
- Lead the other end of the hose to a suitable drain, ensuring it is sloped downwards to allow water to flow out freely.
- Ensure the hose is not kinked or blocked.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Control Panel Functions
Refer to Figure 3.1 for the layout of the control panel.
- Power Button: Press to turn the dehumidifier ON or OFF.
- Humidity Setting Button: Press to adjust the desired humidity level (e.g., 30% to 80% Relative Humidity). The unit will operate until the set humidity is reached.
- Timer Button: Press to set the auto-on or auto-off timer (e.g., 1-24 hours).
- Sleep Mode Button: Activates Sleep Mode, reducing fan speed and noise level for quiet operation (approx. 35 dB(A)).
- Child Lock Button: Press and hold to activate/deactivate the child lock, preventing accidental changes to settings.
- Display: Shows current humidity, set humidity, or timer settings.
- Water Full Indicator: Illuminates when the water tank is full, and the unit automatically stops operating.
5.2 Power On/Off
Press the Power button once to turn the unit ON. Press it again to turn the unit OFF.
5.3 Setting Desired Humidity
When the unit is ON, press the Humidity Setting button repeatedly to cycle through desired humidity levels. The unit will automatically maintain the set humidity level.
5.4 Timer Function
The timer function allows you to set a specific time for the unit to automatically turn ON or OFF.
- Auto-Off: With the unit ON, press the Timer button to set the desired number of hours (1-24) after which the unit will turn off.
- Auto-On: With the unit OFF, press the Timer button to set the desired number of hours (1-24) after which the unit will turn on.
5.5 Sleep Mode
Press the Sleep Mode button to activate quiet operation. The fan speed will decrease, and the display lights may dim to minimize disturbance, making it ideal for use in bedrooms.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.
6.1 Cleaning the Air Filter
The Eeese Emma Dehumidifier features a washable air filter. Clean the filter regularly (e.g., every two weeks or as needed) to maintain efficiency.
- Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier.
- Remove the air filter cover from the back of the unit (refer to Figure 3.3).
- Carefully remove the air filter.
- Wash the filter with mild soap and lukewarm water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit. Do not use a dryer or direct sunlight.
- Reattach the air filter cover.
6.2 Emptying and Cleaning the Water Tank
When the water tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off, and the Water Full indicator will illuminate. Empty the tank promptly.
- Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier.
- Carefully pull out the water tank from the unit.
- Pour out the collected water.
- Clean the inside of the tank periodically with mild detergent and water to prevent mold or mildew growth. Rinse thoroughly.
- Reinsert the empty water tank firmly into the unit. Ensure it is properly seated to allow the unit to resume operation.
6.3 Cleaning the Exterior
Wipe the exterior of the dehumidifier with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
6.4 Storage
If storing the unit for an extended period:
- Ensure the water tank is empty and clean.
- Clean the air filter.
- Unplug the power cord and coil it neatly.
- Store the unit upright in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
