5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your hob.

5.1 Cleaning the Glass Surface

  • Allow the hob to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Use a soft cloth or sponge with mild detergent and warm water.
  • For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive hob cleaner specifically designed for glass surfaces.
  • Wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth to prevent streaks.

  • Lift the burners and remove the cast iron pan supports.

    • Verify the ignition battery is not depleted (for battery-operated auto ignition).
    • Clean the burner cap and ignition pin for any food debris.
  • Flame is weak or uneven:
    • Check if the burner holes are clogged. Clean them carefully.
    • Ensure the burner cap is correctly seated.
    • Verify adequate gas pressure.
  • Flame goes out after releasing the knob (FFD activation):
    • Hold the knob down for a few extra seconds after ignition to allow the FFD sensor to heat up.
