Setup

Physical Setup

• Place the keyboard on a stable, flat surface.
• Adjust the two-level kickstand feet on the back of the keyboard for your preferred typing angle.

Connectivity Setup

The EK75PRO supports three connection modes: USB-C wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth 5.1. A switch on the top edge of the keyboard allows you to select your desired mode.

1. USB-C Wired Mode

• Set the mode switch to the wired (USB-C) position.
• Connect the provided USB-C cable from the keyboard to your computer. The keyboard will be plug-and-play.

2. 2.4GHz Wireless Mode

• Set the mode switch to the 2.4G position.
• Remove the 2.4GHz USB dongle from its storage slot on the keyboard.
• Plug the dongle into an available USB port on your computer. The keyboard should connect automatically.

3. Bluetooth 5.1 Mode

• Set the mode switch to the BT position.
• On your device (PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
• On the keyboard, press and hold Fn + 1, Fn + 2, or Fn + 3 for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. The corresponding key's backlight will flash rapidly.
• Select "DAREU EK75PRO" from the list of available Bluetooth devices on your screen to pair. The backlight will stop flashing once connected.
• The keyboard can connect to up to 3 Bluetooth devices simultaneously (Fn+1, Fn+2, Fn+3).

Operating Instructions

Key Layout and Knob Control

The EK75PRO features an 81-key 75% layout, optimizing desk space while retaining essential keys. It includes a multi-function knob for quick adjustments.

RGB Backlight Control

The keyboard features customizable south-facing RGB backlighting with 12 preset modes and 5 side light strip modes. Adjustments can be made directly on the keyboard using FN key combinations.

• Fn + [{: Cycle through RGB backlight effects.
• Fn + -: Decrease backlight brightness.
• Fn + =: Increase backlight brightness.
• Fn + ↓: Decrease side light brightness.
• Fn + ↑: Increase side light brightness.

Hot-Swappable Dream Switches

The EK75PRO comes with DAREU's customized Hifi Dream switches, which are linear and provide a clean sound. The hot-swap function supports nearly all 3-pin/5-pin switches on the market, allowing for easy customization.

Gasket Mount Design

The keyboard features a gasket mount design with multi-layers of filling silencers (EPDM sound absorbing foam, bottom sound absorbing foam) to reduce keystroke noises and optimize resilience, providing a comfortable and clean typing experience.

Battery Information

The keyboard is equipped with a 3750 mAh battery. Data from DAREU lab suggests up to 27 days with lights off and 5 days with lights on (based on continuous 4 hours of playtime per day).

DAREU A+ Driver

The DAREU A+ driver enables unified and integrated management of the keyboard, allowing users to easily customize all keys and RGB lighting settings.

Maintenance

• Regularly clean keycaps with a soft, damp cloth.
• Use the provided key/switch puller to carefully remove keycaps and switches for deeper cleaning or replacement.
• Avoid exposing the keyboard to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

Connectivity Issues

• Keyboard not connecting in wireless mode: Ensure the mode switch is set correctly (2.4G or BT). For 2.4G, check if the dongle is properly inserted. For BT, ensure your device's Bluetooth is on and the keyboard is in pairing mode (Fn+1/2/3).
• Intermittent connection: Try moving the keyboard closer to your device or ensuring no strong interference sources are nearby. For 2.4G, try a different USB port.

Lighting Issues

• RGB not working: Ensure the keyboard is powered on. Try cycling through lighting modes using Fn key combinations. Check if brightness is set too low.
