2. Hot-Swappable Switches
The keyboard features hot-swappable sockets, allowing you to change mechanical switches without soldering. This provides flexibility to customize your typing feel with various 3-pin and 5-pin MX-style switches (e.g., Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, Panda).
To replace a switch:
- Gently remove the keycap using the included keycap puller.
- Use the switch puller to carefully extract the switch from its socket.
- Align the pins of the new switch with the holes in the PCB and press firmly until it clicks into place.
- Re-attach the keycap.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Keyboard
- General Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe down the keycaps and case. Avoid excessive moisture.
- Deep Cleaning: For thorough cleaning, remove keycaps using the provided keycap puller. Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the switches. Clean individual keycaps with a mild soap and water solution, ensuring they are completely dry before reattaching.
2. Switch and Keycap Replacement
As the keyboard is hot-swappable, switches and keycaps can be replaced as needed. Refer to the "Hot-Swappable Switches" section under Operating Instructions for detailed steps. Ensure replacement components are compatible with MX-style switches and standard keycap profiles.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions
- Keyboard Not Responding:
- Ensure the correct connectivity mode (2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, or Wired) is selected via the switch on the keyboard.
- For wired connection, check the USB-C cable and port.
- For 2.4 GHz, ensure the receiver is properly inserted and the keyboard is in 2.4 GHz mode.
- For Bluetooth, ensure the keyboard is paired and selected as the active device on your computer. Try re-pairing if necessary.
- Check battery level. Connect the keyboard via USB-C to charge.
- Keys Not Registering or Double-Typing:
- Remove the keycap and switch for the affected key. Inspect the switch for any visible damage or debris.
- Clean the switch socket with compressed air.
- Try swapping the problematic switch with a known working switch from another less-used key to determine if the issue is with the switch or the PCB socket.
- Ensure the switch is fully seated in the socket.
- RGB Backlighting Not Working:
- Check keyboard shortcuts for lighting control (refer to the keyboard's quick start guide or Keychron website).
- Ensure the keyboard's battery has sufficient charge.
- If using LAUNCHER, verify lighting settings within the software.
- Bluetooth Connection Issues:
- Ensure the keyboard is in Bluetooth mode and discoverable.
- Remove the keyboard from your device's Bluetooth list and re-pair it.
- Ensure your device's Bluetooth drivers are up to date.
