Operating Instructions

1. Key Remapping and Macros (QMK/LAUNCHER)

The Keychron Q6 Max is fully programmable via QMK firmware and the Keychron LAUNCHER web-based software. This allows you to:

2. Hot-Swappable Switches

The keyboard features hot-swappable sockets, allowing you to change mechanical switches without soldering. This provides flexibility to customize your typing feel with various 3-pin and 5-pin MX-style switches (e.g., Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, Panda).

To replace a switch:

  1. Gently remove the keycap using the included keycap puller.
  2. Use the switch puller to carefully extract the switch from its socket.
  3. Align the pins of the new switch with the holes in the PCB and press firmly until it clicks into place.
  4. Re-attach the keycap.
