With QMK/VIA support, every key can be remapped, and macros can be created for personalized workflows. 3. Setup

To begin using your Keychron Q6 Max keyboard, follow these steps for initial setup:

3.1. Connecting the Keyboard

The Q6 Max supports three connection modes: 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB-C wired.

  • USB-C Wired Connection: Connect the provided USB-C to USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port and the other end to your computer. The keyboard will be powered and recognized automatically.
  • 2.4 GHz Wireless Connection: Insert the 2.4 GHz receiver into an available USB-A port on your computer. Ensure the keyboard's mode switch (located on the back) is set to 2.4G. The keyboard should connect automatically.
  • Bluetooth 5.1 Connection: Switch the keyboard's mode switch to BT. On your computer or device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "Keychron Q6 Max" from the list. The keyboard can pair with up to three Bluetooth devices. To switch between paired devices, press Fn + 1, Fn + 2, or Fn + 3.
