1. Safety Information

Please read and understand all instructions before beginning installation. Failure to do so may result in electric shock, fire, or other injuries that could be fatal or cause property damage.

• Electrical Safety: Always turn off power at the circuit breaker before installing or servicing the fixture. Ensure all electrical connections comply with local codes and ordinances. If you are unsure about wiring, consult a qualified electrician.
• IC Rated: This fixture is IC rated, meaning it is suitable for direct contact with insulation.
• FCC Certified: This product complies with FCC regulations.
• Indoor Use Only: This product is designed for indoor use in dry or damp locations. Do not install in wet locations.
• Voltage: Ensure the supply voltage is 120 Volts.

4. Installation Instructions

These Daminy recessed lights are designed for easy, canless installation. Follow these steps for a secure and functional setup.

4.1 Pre-Installation

1. Turn off Power: Ensure the power supply to the installation area is completely turned off at the circuit breaker.
2. Prepare Hole: Use the provided template to mark and cut a 6.25-inch diameter hole in the ceiling.

4.2 Wiring and Mounting

1. Open Junction Box: Open the junction box cover.
2. Remove Knockouts: Remove the appropriate knockouts on the side of the junction box to run the electrical wires.
3. Connect Wires: Connect the household electrical wires to the wires inside the junction box using the provided wire nuts. Connect the live (black) wire to the black wire, the neutral (white) wire to the white wire, and the ground (green/bare copper) wire to the green wire. Secure all connections.
4. Close Junction Box: Close the junction box cover securely.
5. Select Color Temperature (CCT): Before mounting, locate the CCT selection switch on the junction box. Choose your desired color temperature (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K) by sliding the switch.
6. Connect Light to Junction Box: Connect the cable from the recessed light fixture to the junction box.
7. Mount Junction Box: Insert the junction box into the ceiling hole.
8. Mount Light Fixture: Push the spring clips on the sides of the light fixture upwards and insert the fixture into the ceiling hole. The clips will secure the light in place.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Color Temperature Selection (5CCT)

The Daminy recessed lights offer five selectable color temperatures (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K). The desired CCT is selected via a switch located on the junction box during installation. This allows you to customize the lighting ambiance for different scenarios.

5.2 Dimming Functionality

These lights are dimmable from 5% to 100% brightness. They are compatible with most standard dimmers. Ensure your dimmer switch is compatible for optimal performance.

5.3 Synchronization Reset and Night Light Mode

If your lights become out of sync or you wish to activate the night light mode, follow these steps:

• Synchronization Reset: If lights controlled by the same switch appear out of sync, turn the lights off. Wait for ten seconds. Then, turn them on again. All lights will reset to daylight mode.
• Activate Night Light Mode: To activate the night light mode, turn off the light. Wait for more than one second and less than five seconds before turning the switch back on. This will activate the night light mode.

6. Maintenance

The Daminy LED recessed lights are designed for long-lasting performance with minimal maintenance.

• Cleaning: Ensure the power is off before cleaning. Wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the finish or electrical components.
• LED Lifespan: The integrated LED chips have a long lifespan and do not require bulb replacement.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Daminy recessed lights, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• Light Not Turning On:
  • Check the circuit breaker to ensure power is on.
  • Verify all wire connections in the junction box are secure.
  • Ensure the light fixture is properly connected to the junction box.
• Flickering Light:
  • Ensure the dimmer switch is compatible with LED lights. Incompatible dimmers can cause flickering.
  • Check for loose wiring connections.
• Lights Out of Sync:
  • Refer to Section 5.3 for synchronization reset instructions.
• Incorrect Color Temperature:
  • Ensure the CCT selection switch on the junction box is set to your desired temperature. This switch is typically set during installation.
