Assembly of the HAUSHECK Twin Over Twin Bunk Bed with Trundle requires two adults. All parts are clearly labeled, and a detailed installation manual is included in the package. Please follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the included manual for precise assembly.

General Assembly Tips:

  • Lay out all components on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
  • Do not fully tighten all bolts until the entire structure is assembled. This allows for easier alignment of parts. Once all parts are in place, gradually tighten all fasteners.
  • Ensure all connections are secure before moving or using the bed.

5. Operating Instructions

Using the Trundle Bed:

The trundle bed is located beneath the lower bunk and provides additional sleeping space. To use the trundle:

  1. Gently pull the trundle frame outwards from under the lower bunk.
  2. Ensure the trundle is fully extended and positioned on a flat surface.
  3. The trundle features brakeable wheels. Engage the wheel brakes to secure the trundle in place during use.
  4. To store, disengage the wheel brakes and gently push the trundle back under the lower bunk until it is fully recessed.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safety of your bunk bed.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the metal frame with a dry cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the finish.
  • Inspections: Periodically check all bolts, nuts, and connections to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten any loose fasteners to maintain structural integrity.
  • Mattress Care: Ensure mattresses are of the appropriate size and thickness as specified in the 'Specifications' section to maintain guardrail effectiveness and overall safety.

7. Troubleshooting

Noise or Squeaking:

If you experience noise or squeaking, check the following:

  • Ensure all bolts and connections are securely tightened. Loose fasteners are a common cause of noise.
  • The HAUSHECK bunk bed is designed with an EVA center support beam and slat lockers to minimize noise. Verify these components are correctly installed according to the assembly manual.
