3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Ensure the tool is switched off.
  2. Align the fully charged 20V Parkside X 20 V Team battery pack with the battery slot on the tool.
  3. Slide the battery pack into the slot until it clicks securely into place.
  4. To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery out.

3.2 Auxiliary Handle Attachment

  1. Locate the mounting point for the auxiliary handle on the front of the band saw.
  2. Screw the auxiliary handle firmly into position. Ensure it is tight for safe operation.

3.3 Band Saw Blade Check/Replacement

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

  2. To turn off the tool, release the trigger switch.

4.2 Speed Regulation

The band saw features a 6-level speed regulator. Adjust the speed according to the material being cut. Lower speeds are generally suitable for harder materials like metal, while higher speeds are for softer materials like plastic or wood.

  • Rotate the speed regulator dial to select the desired speed setting (1-6).

4.3 Cutting Procedure

  1. Secure the workpiece firmly to prevent movement during cutting.

  3. Hold the band saw firmly with both hands, using the main handle and the auxiliary handle.
  4. Start the tool and allow the blade to reach full speed before contacting the workpiece.
  5. Guide the blade smoothly and steadily through the material. Do not force the tool; let the blade do the work.
  6. The soft start function ensures a smooth power-up, and overload protection will activate if the tool is pushed too hard, preventing damage.
  7. After completing the cut, release the trigger switch and wait for the blade to stop completely before setting the tool down.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

  • Always disconnect the battery pack before cleaning.
  • Keep the ventilation openings clean to prevent overheating.
  • Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris from the tool. Do not use water or chemical cleaning agents.

5.2 Blade Maintenance

  • Regularly inspect the band saw blade for wear, damage, or dullness. A dull blade can lead to poor cutting performance and increased strain on the tool.
