3. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Monopoly GO! game:
- Place the red game tray in the center of the playing area.
- Sort the Landmark Blocks by color and place them into their designated compartments in the game tray.
- Place the colored dice into the central rolling area of the game tray.
- Place the Bank Heist Dials next to the game tray.
- Shuffle the Chance Tiles and place them face down in a pile next to the game tray.
- Each player selects a mini gameboard. The gameboards are double-sided; choose your preferred side. Any unused gameboards are set aside.
- Each player receives a Reference Card.
- Each player selects a Player Token and places it on the "GO" space of their chosen mini gameboard.
- Place the Mr. Monopoly Marker on the "START" space of the Mega Shut Down Tracker (located on the gameboards).

4. Gameplay
Monopoly GO! features simultaneous play, making each round fast-paced and engaging for all players.
- To begin a round, one player rolls all the colored dice from the central tray.
- Simultaneously, each player moves their token clockwise around their individual mini gameboard according to the number rolled on their matching colored die.
- Players then take actions based on the space their token landed on.
- If a player lands on a colored space, they take a matching colored Landmark Block from the game tray and place it on one of the "Build" squares on their board.
- If a player lands on "Just Visiting" or "Free Parking" corners, no action is taken.
- If a player lands on "Go to Jail", they immediately move their token to the "Just Visiting" space. Their next dice roll is skipped, and then they resume normal play.
5. Special Actions
Bank Heist:
If a player lands on a "Bank Heist" space, they choose one other player to challenge. Both players secretly select one of the three images on their Bank Heist Dial. If the images match, the challenging player takes one of the opponent's blocks from their board. If they do not match, no action is taken.
Shut Down:
If a player lands on a "Shut Down" space, they choose one other player. That player must remove one block of their choice from their board and return it to the game tray.
Chance:
If a player lands on a "Chance" space, they draw a Chance Tile and follow its instructions. Chance Tiles can provide immediate benefits, allow strategic moves, or offer defensive capabilities.
Go Space:
If a player lands directly on the "GO" space, they can choose one of three actions: take any color landmark block from the game tray, attempt a Bank Heist, or activate a Shut Down. Passing the "GO" space does not trigger any special action.
