3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the camera's internal battery using the provided USB cable and a standard 5V/2A USB power adapter (not included). A full charge ensures the camera has sufficient power for initial setup and operation, especially before the solar panel can provide consistent charging.

3.2 App Installation

  1. Scan the QR code provided in the quick start guide or search for the designated app (e.g., 'CloudEdge' or similar, refer to packaging) in your smartphone's app store (App Store for iOS, Google Play Store for Android).
  2. Download and install the app.
  3. Register a new account or log in if you already have one.

3.3 Pairing the Camera with the App

  1. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The camera does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
  2. Open the app and tap the '+' icon to add a new device.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to select your camera model.
  4. Power on the camera. If the camera does not enter pairing mode automatically (indicated by a flashing LED), press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds until you hear a prompt or see the LED flash.
  5. The app will generate a QR code. Position your phone screen approximately 15-20 cm (6-8 inches) in front of the camera lens until you hear a confirmation sound.
  6. Once connected, name your camera and complete the setup process.

3.4 Mounting the Camera

Choose a mounting location that provides the desired viewing angle and ensures the solar panel receives direct sunlight for several hours daily. The camera is IP66 rated for outdoor use.

  3. Secure Bracket: Attach the camera's mounting bracket and the solar panel's bracket to the surface using the provided screws and wall anchors.
  4. Attach Camera and Solar Panel: Secure the camera and solar panel to their respective brackets. Adjust the angles for optimal coverage and solar charging.
  5. Connect Solar Panel: Plug the solar panel's cable into the charging port on the camera.

4. Operation

4.1 Live View and Recording

Open the app and select your camera to access the live video feed. From here, you can manually record video, take screenshots, and review recorded events.
