5. Operating Instructions
The KLIM AC12000 can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.
5.1 Control Panel and Remote Control:
The control panel on top of the unit features various buttons for mode selection, temperature adjustment, fan speed, and timer settings. The remote control provides the same functionality for convenient operation from a distance.
5.2 Operating Modes:
- Cooling Mode: Activates the compressor to cool the room. Set your desired temperature (down to 16°C) and fan speed. The unit will automatically adjust operation to maintain the set temperature.
- Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling. You can select different fan speeds (low, medium, high) to suit your preference.
- Dehumidifier Mode: Removes excess moisture from the air. In this mode, the unit will collect water. While the unit has a self-evaporative function in cooling mode, in dehumidifier mode, you may need to connect the drain hose for continuous drainage or periodically empty the internal reservoir if it fills up.
5.3 Timer Function:
Use the timer function to set a specific time for the unit to turn on or off. This is useful for pre-cooling a room before you arrive home or for turning off the unit after you fall asleep.
5.4 Sleep Mode:
Activate Sleep Mode for quieter operation, ideal for nighttime use. The fan speed will be reduced, and the display lights may dim.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your KLIM AC12000.
6.1 Cleaning the Air Filter:
The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.
- Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
- Locate the air filter panel (usually on the back or side of the unit).
- Remove the filter.
- Clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner or wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the filter to dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.
6.2 Draining Water:
In cooling mode, the unit has a self-evaporative function, minimizing the need for manual drainage. However, in high humidity environments or during dehumidifier mode, the internal water tank may fill up. The unit will typically indicate when the tank is full.
- Unplug the unit.
- Place a shallow pan or bucket under the drain outlet (located at the bottom rear of the unit).
- Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out.
- Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.
- For continuous drainage in dehumidifier mode, connect the provided drain hose to the drain outlet and direct it to a suitable drain or container.
6.3 Storage:
Before storing the unit for an extended period:
- Ensure all water is drained from the unit.
- Clean the air filter.
- Unplug the power cord and coil it neatly.
- Store the unit in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
