3. Setup and Installation

The DAOLAR portable EV charger is designed for ease of use. It can be used as a portable unit or mounted on a wall for a more permanent setup.

3.1 Wall Mounting (Optional)

1. Choose a Location: Select a dry, shaded area near a suitable power outlet, away from direct sunlight or heavy rain. Ensure the surface is sturdy enough to support the charger's weight.
2. Mark Drilling Points: Use the provided drilling stickers to mark the positions for the mounting screws on the wall.
3. Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked points.
4. Insert Wall Plugs: Insert the wall plugs into the drilled holes.
5. Secure the Charger: Align the charger with the holes and secure it to the wall using the provided screws.

3.2 Initial Connection

1. Ensure the power outlet is compatible with the charger's specifications (219V, 16A, single-phase).
2. Plug the charger's power plug into the wall outlet. The LCD screen should illuminate, indicating the charger is ready.

4.1 Connecting to Your EV

1. Ensure your electric vehicle is turned off and the charging port is accessible.
2. Insert the Type 2 connector of the DAOLAR charger firmly into your vehicle's charging port. You should hear a click, indicating it's securely locked.
3. The charger's LCD screen will display charging information, and the LED indicator will show the charging status.

4.2 Adjusting Charging Current

The charger allows you to adjust the charging current to optimize charging speed based on your vehicle's needs or available power supply.

1. Before connecting to the vehicle or during charging, press the power button on the control box to cycle through the available current settings (6A, 10A, 13A, 16A).
2. The selected current will be displayed on the LCD screen.

4.3 Monitoring Charging Status

The 1.4-inch LCD screen provides real-time information:

• Voltage (V): Current input voltage.
• Current (A): Current charging amperage.
• Power (KW): Real-time charging power.
• Charging Time: Duration of the current charging session.
• Temperature (°C): Internal temperature of the control box.
• Energy (KWh): Total energy delivered during the session.

LED indicators also provide visual cues for charging status and error notifications.

4.4 Disconnecting the Charger

1. Once charging is complete or you wish to stop, first disconnect the Type 2 connector from your vehicle's charging port.
2. Then, unplug the charger's power plug from the wall outlet.
