2. Important Safeguards
- Read all instructions before using the appliance.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.

4. Setup
4.1 Initial Use
- Unpack the coffee maker and all accessories.
- Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
- Wash the removable drip tray, K-cup holder, and reusable filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Perform a cleansing brew cycle: Fill the water reservoir to the MAX line (14 oz) with fresh water. Place an empty mug on the drip tray. Close the lid and press the 'Hot Brew' button to run a cycle without coffee. Discard the water. Repeat this process once more.
4.2 Filling the Water Reservoir
- Open the water reservoir lid.
- Fill the reservoir with fresh, cold water up to your desired brew size (6, 8, 10, 12, or 14 oz) indicated by the visible water window. Do not exceed the MAX 14 oz line.
- Close the water reservoir lid securely.

5. Operation
5.1 Brewing Hot Coffee (K-Cup)
- Ensure the water reservoir is filled to your desired level (6-14 oz).
- Lift the handle to open the K-cup chamber.
- Insert a K-cup pod into the K-cup holder.
- Close the handle firmly until it clicks.
- Place a mug (up to 6 inches tall) on the drip tray.
- Press the 'Hot Brew' button. The indicator light will illuminate, and brewing will begin.
- Once brewing is complete, the light will turn off. Carefully remove your mug.

5.2 Brewing Hot Coffee (Ground Coffee)
- Ensure the water reservoir is filled to your desired level (6-14 oz).
- Lift the handle to open the K-cup chamber.
- Place the reusable filter into the K-cup holder.
- Add your desired amount of ground coffee to the reusable filter. Do not overfill.
- Close the handle firmly until it clicks.

5.3 Brewing Iced Coffee
- Fill your serving cup with ice.
- Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water according to the recommended iced coffee ratios (e.g., 6-8 oz water for 6-8 oz ice).
- Insert a K-cup pod or ground coffee into the reusable filter.
- Place the ice-filled cup on the drip tray.
- Press the 'Over Ice' button. The indicator light will illuminate, and brewing will begin.
- Once brewing is complete, the light will turn off. Carefully remove your iced coffee.

5.4 Brew Size Selection

6. Maintenance
6.1 Descaling
The coffee maker features an intelligent descaling notification. When the descaler indicator emits a blinking red light, it's time to descale the unit.
- Fill the water container with 14 oz of descaling solution (e.g., white vinegar or a commercial descaling agent).
- Place a large mug on the drip tray.
- Press both the 'Hot Brew' and 'Over Ice' buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds to activate the automatic cleaning cycle.
- The machine will run a descaling cycle. Discard the solution.
- Run two full cycles with fresh water to rinse the machine thoroughly.

6.2 General Cleaning
- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the coffee maker in water.

- The drip tray and drip tray plate can be removed and washed with warm, soapy water.
7. Troubleshooting
- Coffee not brewing: Ensure the water reservoir is filled, the K-cup or reusable filter is correctly inserted, and the lid is firmly closed. Check if the power cord is securely plugged in.
- Weak coffee: Use a bolder coffee blend or increase the amount of ground coffee in the reusable filter. Ensure the correct brew size is selected for your preference.
- Coffee is not hot enough: Ensure the 'Hot Brew' setting is selected. Pre-heat your mug with hot water if desired.
- Descaling indicator blinking: Follow the descaling instructions in Section 6.1.
- Water leakage: Ensure the K-cup or reusable filter is properly seated and the lid is fully closed. Check the water reservoir for any cracks or improper seating.
- Water shortage reminder: The machine has a smart water shortage detection system. If the water level is too low, the machine may not start or may stop brewing. Refill the water reservoir.
- Overheat protection: The coffee maker is equipped with an anti-overheat system to prevent damage. If the machine overheats, it will automatically shut off. Allow it to cool down before attempting to brew again.
