Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your LOVEWE Mini Cordless Chainsaw. Designed for tree trimming and wood cutting, this 6-inch, 650W electric chainsaw offers powerful performance with the convenience of a 3000mAh rechargeable battery. It features an auto-oiler system, tool-free chain adjustment, and a 5-tier safety system to ensure user protection.

Important Safety Warnings

Always read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating this tool. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

• Personal Protective Equipment: Always wear safety goggles, protective gloves, and appropriate clothing when operating the chainsaw.
• Work Area Safety: Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
• Electrical Safety: Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions.
• Tool Use and Care: Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. Disconnect the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.
• Kickback Prevention: Be aware of kickback. Kickback may occur when the moving chain at the tip of the guide bar touches an object, or when the wood closes in and pinches the saw chain in the cut.
• Battery Safety: Use only the specified battery pack and charger. Do not short-circuit the battery terminals. Do not expose batteries to fire or high temperatures.
• Children and Bystanders: Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.

Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to prepare your chainsaw for first use:

1. Charge the Battery:

   Insert the 21V 3000mAh Lithium-Ion battery into the provided charger. Plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use (typically 2-3 hours for a full charge).

2. Install the Chain and Guide Bar:

   Ensure the chainsaw is powered off and the battery is removed. Place the chain around the guide bar, ensuring the cutting teeth are oriented correctly in the direction of rotation. Fit the chain and guide bar onto the chainsaw body, aligning the chain with the drive sprocket.

3. Adjust Chain Tension (Tool-Free):

   The chainsaw features a tool-free chain tensioning system. Turn the control nut counter-clockwise to loosen it. Adjust the outer gear to take up any slack in the chain, ensuring the chain is snug but can still be moved by hand. The chain should have approximately 5mm of play. Turn the control nut clockwise to tighten it securely.

4. Add Lubricant (Oil Not Included):

   Locate the lubrication system port on the chainsaw. Fill with appropriate bar and chain oil (not included). Ensure the oil reservoir is adequately filled before operation to maintain chain lubrication and prolong chain life.

5. Insert Battery:

   Once the chain is properly tensioned and oil is added, insert the fully charged battery into the battery slot on the chainsaw handle until it clicks into place.

Operating Instructions

Before operating, ensure you are wearing all necessary personal protective equipment (safety goggles, gloves).

1. Starting the Chainsaw:

   To start the chainsaw, press and hold the safety lock button (usually located on the side of the handle) with your thumb, then squeeze the trigger switch with your fingers. The chainsaw will not operate without the safety lock engaged first.

2. Cutting Technique:

   Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands. Position the guide bar against the wood to be cut. Apply steady, light pressure. Allow the chainsaw to do the work; do not force it through the wood. For larger branches, make multiple shallow cuts or cut from different sides to prevent pinching.
3. Stopping the Chainsaw:

   Release the trigger switch to stop the chainsaw. The chain will stop rotating almost immediately. Always release the trigger and ensure the chain has stopped before setting the chainsaw down or making any adjustments.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your chainsaw.

• Chain Lubrication: Regularly check the oil level in the lubrication system. Refill as needed with appropriate bar and chain oil. Proper lubrication is crucial for chain and guide bar longevity.
• Chain Sharpening: A dull chain will reduce cutting efficiency and increase strain on the motor. Sharpen the chain regularly or replace it with the included extra chain when necessary.
• Cleaning: After each use, clean the chainsaw thoroughly. Remove sawdust, debris, and resin from the guide bar, chain, and motor housing. Use a brush or compressed air. Ensure the battery is removed before cleaning.
• Storage: Store the chainsaw in a dry, secure place, out of reach of children. Ensure the battery is removed and stored separately, preferably with a partial charge.
