1. Introduction

Welcome to the world of Tamagotchi! The Tamagotchi Original - Festival Sky is a virtual digital pet that requires your care and attention. This device brings back the classic gameplay experience from 1997 with Generation 2 programming, allowing you to nurture your pet from an egg to an adult. Your care decisions will influence its growth and final adult form.

3. Setup

1. Activation: Your Tamagotchi comes with a pre-installed CR2032 battery. To activate the device, locate the small plastic pull-tab protruding from the side or back of the unit. Gently pull this tab out completely. The screen should light up, and an egg will appear.
2. Initial Setup: Once activated, you will be prompted to set the time. Use the A button to select the hour/minute, the B button to confirm, and the C button to cancel or go back.
3. Hatching: After setting the time, your Tamagotchi egg will hatch into a baby character within a few minutes.

4. Operating Your Tamagotchi

Your Tamagotchi requires daily interaction to grow into a healthy adult. Use the three buttons (A, B, C) to navigate the menu and perform actions.

Button Functions:

• A Button (Select): Scrolls through menu icons.
• B Button (Confirm): Selects an icon or confirms an action.
• C Button (Cancel/Back): Cancels an action or returns to the previous screen.

Core Care Functions:

• Health: Check your pet's health status, including hunger, happiness, and discipline levels.

5. Maintenance

Battery Replacement:

The Tamagotchi Original uses one CR2032 battery. When the battery is low, the screen may dim or the device may stop responding. To replace the battery:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
2. Using a small Phillips head screwdriver, unscrew the battery cover.
3. Carefully remove the old CR2032 battery.
4. Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
5. Replace the battery cover and screw it securely.

Cleaning:

To clean your Tamagotchi, gently wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the screen or casing.

6. Troubleshooting

• Device not turning on: Ensure the battery pull-tab has been completely removed. If it still doesn't turn on, try replacing the CR2032 battery.
• Screen is dim or unresponsive: This usually indicates a low battery. Replace the CR2032 battery.
• Pet is constantly beeping: Check your pet's status indicators (hunger, happiness, health, discipline) to determine its needs. Address the specific need (e.g., feed it, play with it, give medicine, clean up). If it's calling for attention without a clear need, you may need to discipline it.
• Pet is not evolving: Ensure you are consistently caring for your pet. Evolution depends on how well you attend to its needs.
