Setup Instructions

To begin using your HH-Tech Smart Tag, follow these steps to pair it with your Apple device:

1. Prepare the Smart Tag: The Smart Tag comes with a battery pre-installed. Remove the small plastic battery protector tab if present. This activates the tag.
2. Open Apple Find My App: On your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, open the 'Find My' application.
3. Add New Item: Navigate to the 'Items' tab within the Find My app. Tap the '+' icon and select 'Add Other Item'.
4. Pair the Tag: The Find My app will begin searching for nearby compatible items. Once your HH-Tech Smart Tag is detected, follow the on-screen prompts to name your tag and assign an emoji.
5. Confirmation: After successful pairing, your Smart Tag will appear in the 'Items' list within the Find My app, indicating it is ready for use.

Operating Instructions

Once your HH-Tech Smart Tag is paired, you can utilize its features through the Apple Find My app:

Locating Your Item

• View on Map: Open the Find My app and select your Smart Tag from the 'Items' list. Its current or last known location will be displayed on a map.
• Play Sound: If your item is nearby, tap 'Play Sound' in the Find My app. The Smart Tag will emit a loud 75dB alarm to help you pinpoint its exact location. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is active for this feature.

Left Behind Alert

This feature notifies you if you leave your Smart Tag-equipped item behind:

• Enable Notification: Within the Find My app, select your Smart Tag, then enable the 'Notify When Left Behind' option. You can also set specific locations where you do not wish to be notified (e.g., your home).
• Receive Alerts: If you move out of Bluetooth range from your Smart Tag, your Apple device will send an instant notification, helping you retrieve your item before it's truly lost.

Lost Mode

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The HH-Tech Smart Tag uses a standard CR2032 coin cell battery, providing up to one year of use. A spare battery and a plastic prick tool are included for replacement.

1. Open the Tag: Use the provided plastic prick tool to carefully pry open the Smart Tag casing. Locate the small indentation on the side of the tag for this purpose.
2. Remove Old Battery: Gently remove the depleted CR2032 battery.
3. Insert New Battery: Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing upwards.
4. Close the Tag: Align the two halves of the Smart Tag casing and press firmly until it clicks securely into place.

If you encounter issues with your HH-Tech Smart Tag, consider the following solutions:

• Tag Not Connecting/Detected:

  • Unlike some other trackers, the HH-Tech Smart Tag does not feature a UWB (Ultra-Wideband) chip for precise directional finding. Location is primarily based on Bluetooth range and network triangulation.
• Battery Drains Quickly:
  • Ensure you are using a fresh, high-quality CR2032 battery.
  • Extreme temperatures can affect battery life.
• Tag Detected as 'Foreign Tag':
  • If the tag was previously paired to another Apple ID, it might be detected as a foreign tag. Ensure the tag is properly unpaired from any previous owner's account before attempting to pair it with yours.
  • Perform a factory reset if possible (refer to specific instructions if available, usually involves holding the button during battery insertion).
