6. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance are essential for the efficient operation and longevity of your humidifier.

  • Wipe down the mist outlet and exterior surfaces with a clean, damp cloth.

6.2 Weekly Cleaning

  • Base Unit: The humidifier base is dishwasher safe for convenient cleaning. Ensure it is completely dry before reassembly.
  • Water Tank: Clean the inside of the water tank with a soft brush or sponge. For mineral buildup, use a solution of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio), let it soak for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
  • Wicking Filter: Inspect the wicking filter. If it shows significant mineral buildup or wear, it may need replacement.

6.3 Filter Replacement

  • The wicking filter is a fabric wrap with hook and loop (Velcro) that surrounds the heating element.
  • A 'Change Filter' light on the display will indicate when the filter needs replacement. Filter life can vary based on water hardness and usage.
  • To replace, unplug the unit, remove the old filter, and carefully wrap a new EVO filter around the heating element, securing it with the hook and loop fasteners.
  • Using distilled or soft water can extend filter life and prevent mineral buildup.

6.4 Storage

  • Before storing, ensure the humidifier is clean and completely dry.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
