Setup

Follow these steps for easy DIY installation and setup of your alarm system:

  1. Power On Base Station: Connect the Monitoring Hub (Base Station) to power using the provided power adaptor and USB C cable.
  2. Download Smart Life App: Download the "Smart Life" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
  3. Connect to Wi-Fi: Open the Smart Life app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your Base Station to your home's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Note: This system does NOT support 5GHz Wi-Fi networks.
  4. Pair Sensors:
    • Door/Window Sensors: Place the two parts of each contact sensor on a door or window frame, ensuring they are aligned and close to each other when the door/window is closed. Use the provided double-sided mounting tape or screws.
    • Motion Sensor: Mount the motion sensor in a corner or on a wall using the bracket and screws, ensuring it covers the desired area.
    • Follow the app's instructions to pair each sensor with the Base Station.
  5. Install Keypad: Mount the keypad near an entry point using the provided hardware.
  6. Test System: After all components are installed and paired, test the system by triggering sensors to ensure alerts are received and the siren activates.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible Cause / Solution
System not connecting to Wi-FiEnsure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The system does not support 5GHz. Check Wi-Fi password and signal strength. Restart your router and the Base Station.
Sensors not triggering alarm / delayed alertsCheck sensor battery levels. Ensure sensors are properly aligned and within range of the Base Station. Re-pair the sensor if necessary. Verify the system is armed in the correct mode.
Siren volume is too lowAdjust the siren volume settings within the Smart Life app. Ensure the Base Station's speaker is not obstructed.
No app notificationsCheck your phone's notification settings for the Smart Life app. Ensure your phone has an active internet connection. Verify the system is properly connected to Wi-Fi.
Keypad/Remote not respondingCheck batteries in the keypad/remote. Ensure they are paired with the Base Station. If the alarm is turned off using the on/off switch on the alarm, it may reset codes to defaults.
