Setup

1. Battery Installation

The amPlug 3 requires two AAA batteries. Ensure correct polarity when inserting them.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit.
  2. Slide the battery cover open.

2. Connecting to Your Guitar

The amPlug 3 features a rotatable 1/4-inch (6.35mm) plug for direct connection to your electric guitar's output jack.

  1. Rotate the amPlug's plug to align with your guitar's output jack.
  2. Insert the amPlug firmly into your guitar's output jack.

3. Connecting Headphones

Plug your headphones into the 3.5mm (1/8-inch) headphone jack on the amPlug 3.

4. Connecting an Auxiliary Device (Optional)

Use the AUX input to connect an external audio player (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) and jam along with your favorite music.

  1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm stereo audio cable (TRRS cable included) to the AUX input on the amPlug 3.
  2. Connect the other end to the headphone output or line out of your auxiliary device.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

Press and hold the POWER button (located on the back of the unit) for approximately 1 second to turn the unit on or off. The LED indicator will light up when the unit is on.

Controls and Functions

The amPlug 3 features four main control knobs and a TAP button for various functions:

Control Function
GAIN Adjusts the amount of distortion or overdrive. Turn clockwise for more gain.
TONE Controls the treble response. Turn clockwise for brighter tones, counter-clockwise for warmer tones.
VOLUME Adjusts the overall output volume to your headphones.
FX/RHYTHM Selects and adjusts built-in effects or rhythm patterns.
TAP Button Used to set the tempo for rhythm patterns or to cycle through effects/rhythms.

Channel Selection (Normal / Top Boost)

The AC30 model offers two distinct channels: Normal and Top Boost. To switch between channels, press the POWER button briefly while the unit is on. The LED indicator may change color or blink to indicate the selected channel (refer to the quick start guide for specific LED indications).

Using Effects and Rhythms

The FX/RHYTHM knob allows you to select different effects and rhythm patterns. The TAP button is used to adjust the tempo of the rhythms or to cycle through effect variations.
