Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your docking station, refer to the following common solutions.

  • No Display Output:
    • Ensure the docking station is powered on and the power adapter is securely connected.
    • Verify that the USB-C cable connecting the docking station to your host device is fully inserted and supports video output.
    • Check all display cables (HDMI, DP, VGA) are securely connected to both the docking station and the monitors.
    • Try restarting your host device.
    • Update your graphics drivers on your host device.
    • For Mac OS, ensure "Mirror Displays" or "Extend Displays" is selected in System Preferences > Displays.
    • For Windows, check "Display settings" to detect and arrange displays.
  • Intermittent Display or Flicker:
    • Ensure all cables are high-quality and securely connected.
    • Reduce the display resolution or refresh rate to see if the issue persists.
    • Check for driver updates for your graphics card and the docking station (if specific drivers are provided by Yottamaster).
    • Ensure the docking station is receiving adequate power from the 65W adapter.
  • USB Devices Not Recognized:
    • Ensure the docking station is properly connected to your host device.
    • Try connecting the USB device to a different port on the docking station.
    • Connect the USB device directly to your host device to confirm it functions independently.
    • Restart your host device.
  • Slow Data Transfer:
    • Ensure you are using the 10Gbps USB-C or 5Gbps USB-A 3.0 ports for high-speed devices.
    • Verify that your connected device (e.g., external SSD) supports the higher transfer speeds.
    • Avoid connecting too many power-hungry devices simultaneously, which might affect performance.
  • Charging Not Working or Slow:
    • Confirm the 65W DC power adapter is correctly connected and functioning.
    • Ensure your laptop supports USB-C Power Delivery and is connected to the PD60W port.
    • Check the charging cable for damage and ensure it supports power delivery.
  • LAN Connection Drops Periodically:
    • Ensure the Ethernet cable is securely connected.
    • Try a different Ethernet cable.
    • Update network drivers on your host device.
    • Restart your router/modem and the docking station.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your docking station, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the docking station. Avoid using liquid cleaners or aerosols.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the 360° heat dissipation vents are not obstructed to prevent overheating. Place the docking station on a flat, stable surface.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the docking station in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
