TRJZWA Solar Irrigation System Instruction Manual

Model: BSV-IC302

Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the TRJZWA Automatic Drip Irrigation Kit, a solar-powered system designed for efficient watering of outdoor and indoor gardens, including potted plants. Featuring water level detection and a 15-meter hose, this system is ideal for up to 15 potted plants, ensuring consistent hydration with minimal effort. Please read this manual carefully before installation and operation to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your irrigation system.

Safety Information

Always ensure the water source is secure and not empty. Do not use damaged components. Use the anti-siphon device to prevent water backflow. Follow the instructions for proper installation and usage to prevent leaks or water damage.

Setup and Installation

The TRJZWA Solar Irrigation System is designed for easy setup. Follow these steps to get your system operational:

1. System Components Overview

TRJZWA Solar Irrigation System components including solar panel, tubing, drip emitters, and connectors.

Figure 1: Overview of the TRJZWA Solar Irrigation System components.

The kit includes the main solar panel unit, 15 meters of black tubing, drip emitters, T-connectors, an anti-siphon device, a water level detection line, and mounting accessories for wall or ground installation.

2. Preparing the Water Source

Place your water reservoir (e.g., bucket, tank) in a suitable location. Ensure the water level detection line and filter are properly submerged in the water. The system will draw water from this reservoir.

3. Connecting the Main Unit

Connect the water inlet pipe (from the filter in the reservoir) to the "IN" port on the solar panel unit. Connect the main distribution tubing to the "OUT" port.

4. Installing Drip Lines and Emitters

The 15-meter hose can be cut to desired lengths to reach your plants. Use the provided T-connectors to branch off the main line to individual plants. Insert the blue drip emitters into the ends of these smaller tubes and stake them into the soil near the plant roots.

Step-by-step guide for installing the drip irrigation system.

Figure 3: Step-by-step installation guide for tubing and emitters.

  1. Divide water pipes of different lengths as needed for your plant layout.
  2. Connect the solar panel to the ground stake or wall mount.
  3. Connect the water level detection line to the main unit.
  4. Connect the water inlet to the filter.
  5. Connect the anti-siphon head to the outlet pipe.
  6. Connect the three-way head (T-connector) to the soft water pipe.
  7. Insert the dripper into the water pipe.
  8. Place the filter and water level detection line in the water reservoir.
  9. Start drip irrigation by setting the desired mode.

5. Mounting the Solar Panel

The solar panel can be installed using the provided ground stake or mounted on a wall using screws. Ensure the panel receives direct sunlight for optimal charging.

Two installation methods: wall installation and ground stake.

Operating Instructions

The TRJZWA Solar Irrigation System features a simple control panel for setting watering frequency and duration.

1. Control Panel Overview

Control panel with On/Off and Mode buttons, and watering frequency indicators.

Figure 5: Main control panel of the solar irrigation system.

The control panel has an ON/OFF button and a MODE button. Indicator lights show the selected watering frequency.

2. Setting Watering Frequency

Press the MODE button to cycle through the available watering frequencies:

  • 1 Day Cycle:
    • 1 minute interval
    • 5 minute interval
    • 10 minute interval
  • 3 Day Cycle:
    • 1 minute interval
    • 5 minute interval
    • 15 minute interval

Select the mode that best suits your plants' needs. The system will automatically activate at approximately the same time each day or every three days, based on when you initially set the mode.

3. Water Level Detection

The system is equipped with a water level detection feature. If the water level in your reservoir drops too low, the unit will emit an audible beep to alert you to refill the water source. This prevents the pump from running dry and potential damage.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your TRJZWA Solar Irrigation System.

  • Filter Cleaning: Periodically check and clean the water filter submerged in your reservoir to prevent clogs and ensure smooth water flow.
  • Tubing Inspection: Inspect the tubing and emitters regularly for any blockages, kinks, or damage. Clear any debris and replace damaged sections as needed.
  • Solar Panel Cleaning: Keep the solar panel clean from dust, dirt, and debris to ensure maximum sunlight absorption and efficient charging.
  • Winterization: In colder climates, drain the system completely before freezing temperatures to prevent water from freezing and damaging the pump or tubing. Store the main unit indoors during winter.

Troubleshooting

Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No water flow / Pump not working
  • Low water level in reservoir.
  • Clogged filter.
  • Kinked or blocked tubing.
  • Insufficient solar charge.
  • Refill water reservoir.
  • Clean the filter.
  • Check and clear all tubing.
  • Ensure solar panel is in direct sunlight and fully charged.
Water siphoning when system is off
  • Water source is higher than drippers.
  • Anti-siphon device not installed or faulty.
  • Ensure water source is below the level of the drippers.
  • Verify anti-siphon device is correctly installed and functioning.
Inconsistent watering / Some plants not getting water
  • Clogged emitters.
  • Uneven distribution due to long runs or elevation changes.
  • Clean or replace emitters.
  • Adjust tubing layout or add more emitters to larger/further plants.
