3. Setup
3.1 Charging Station Placement
Place the charging station against a wall in an open, uncluttered area. Ensure there is at least 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) of clear space on both sides and 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) in front of the charging station for optimal robot navigation and docking.
3.2 Initial Charge
Connect the power adapter to the charging station and plug it into a power outlet. Place the robot vacuum onto the charging station. The robot will automatically begin charging. Ensure the robot is fully charged before its first use, which typically takes several hours.
3.3 App Connection (Tuya Smart App)
To unlock the full features of your Tikom L8000, download the "Tuya Smart" app from your mobile device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your robot to your home Wi-Fi network (2.4G Wi-Fi only).

3.4 Initial Mapping
For its first cleaning cycle, allow the robot to complete a full cleaning of your home without interruption. This allows the LiDAR navigation system to create an accurate map of your living space. The robot can store up to 5 different maps, suitable for multi-floor homes.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Cleaning Modes
The Tikom L8000 supports multiple cleaning modes:
- Sweep Only: For dry vacuuming.
- Mop Only: For wet mopping.
- Sweep & Mop: Simultaneous vacuuming and mopping.
These modes can be selected via the Tuya Smart App.

4.2 Suction Power and Water Output Adjustment
Adjust the suction power (up to 3000 Pa) and water output level (3 levels) through the Tuya Smart App to suit different floor types and cleaning needs. The robot automatically increases suction on carpets for deeper cleaning.

4.3 Smart Mapping and Customized Cleaning
Utilize the Tuya Smart App to view and edit the generated maps of your home. You can:
- Customize Cleaning Schedule: Set specific times for the robot to clean certain rooms or areas.
- Select Rooms: Direct the robot to clean specific rooms.
- Spot Clean: Target specific dirty areas for intensive cleaning.

4.4 Restricted Zones and Virtual Walls
Set up virtual boundaries within the app to prevent the robot from entering certain areas:
- No-Go Zones: Areas the robot will avoid entirely (up to 7).
- No-Mop Zones: Areas the robot will vacuum but not mop, especially useful for carpets (up to 7).
- Virtual Walls: Invisible lines the robot will not cross (up to 20).

4.5 Automatic Recharge and Breakpoint Resume
When the battery level drops below 15% during a cleaning cycle, the robot will automatically return to the charging station. Once charged to 80%, it will resume cleaning from where it left off, ensuring complete coverage.

4.6 Voice Control
The Tikom L8000 can be controlled using voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Ensure your robot is connected to the Tuya Smart App and linked to your voice assistant accounts.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your robot vacuum.
5.1 Emptying the Dust Bin and Water Tank
The 2-in-1 dust bin (300 ml) and water tank (250 ml) should be emptied and refilled/cleaned after each use or as needed. Remove the combined unit from the robot, dispose of debris, and rinse the dust bin and water tank with clean water. Allow to air dry completely before reinserting.
5.2 Cleaning Brushes
- Main Brush: Periodically remove the main brush and clear any tangled hair or debris using the provided cleaning tool.
- Side Brushes: Check side brushes for wear or entanglement. Clean them and replace if damaged.
5.3 Cleaning Filters
The HEPA filter and sponge should be cleaned regularly. Tap the HEPA filter to remove dust. The sponge filter can be rinsed with water. Ensure all filters are completely dry before reinstallation to prevent damage to the vacuum motor.
5.4 Sensor Cleaning
Wipe the cliff sensors, wall sensors, and charging contacts on the robot and charging station with a clean, dry cloth to ensure proper operation and navigation.

6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Tikom L8000, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Robot does not start or respond. | Low battery; power switch off; robot stuck. | Charge the robot; ensure power switch is ON; clear obstructions. |
| Poor cleaning performance. | Full dust bin; clogged brushes/filters; low suction setting. | Empty dust bin; clean brushes and filters; increase suction via app. |
| Robot cannot return to charging station. | Charging station obstructed; robot too far from station; station not powered. | Ensure clear path to station; place robot closer; check power connection. |
| App connection issues. | Incorrect Wi-Fi password; 5G Wi-Fi network; robot too far from router. | Verify password; ensure 2.4G Wi-Fi; move robot closer to router. |
| Robot gets stuck frequently. | Loose cables; small obstacles; high thresholds. | Clear cables and small items; use No-Go Zones for problematic areas. |
