Setup
Attaching the Auxiliary Handle
- Loosen the auxiliary handle by turning it counter-clockwise.
- Slide the handle onto the tool's collar to the desired position.
- Tighten the handle by turning it clockwise until secure. The handle can be rotated 360° for optimal working posture.
Inserting SDS-Plus Bits (Drill Bits/Chisels)
- Clean the shank of the SDS-Plus bit and apply a small amount of lubricating grease (supplied) to it.
- Pull back the chuck sleeve and insert the bit into the chuck until it clicks into place.
- Release the chuck sleeve. Pull the bit to ensure it is securely locked. A slight axial play is normal for SDS-Plus systems.
Inserting Round Shank Drill Bits (with Keyed Chuck)
Use the supplied keyed chuck for standard round shank drill bits. This chuck is not suitable for hammer drilling or chiseling modes.
- Insert the SDS-Plus adapter of the keyed chuck into the SDS-Plus chuck of the tool as described above.
- Open the jaws of the keyed chuck using the chuck key.
- Insert the round shank drill bit into the keyed chuck.
- Tighten the chuck jaws firmly using the chuck key.
Adjusting the Depth Stop
- Insert the depth stop into the designated hole on the auxiliary handle.
- Adjust the depth stop to the desired drilling depth. The distance from the tip of the drill bit to the end of the depth stop indicates the drilling depth.
- Secure the depth stop by tightening its locking mechanism on the auxiliary handle.
Operating Instructions
Selecting Operating Mode
The central selector allows you to choose between three operating modes:
- Drilling (without impact): For drilling in wood, metal, or plastic. Set the selector to the drill bit symbol.
- Hammer Drilling (with impact): For drilling in concrete, brick, or stone. Set the selector to the hammer and drill bit symbol.
- Chiseling (with impact and rotation stop): For chiseling or demolition work in concrete or masonry. Set the selector to the chisel symbol.
Adjusting Chisel Orientation (Chiseling Mode Only)
In chiseling mode, you can continuously adjust the angle of the chisel for optimal working position.
- Set the function selector to chiseling mode.
- Rotate the chisel to the desired angle.
- Ensure the selector clicks back into the chiseling position to lock the chisel angle.
Speed Control
The tool features a 6-level speed controller. Adjust the speed according to the material and the type of work being performed. Lower speeds are generally suitable for larger diameters or harder materials, while higher speeds are for smaller diameters or softer materials.
Starting and Stopping
- Connect the power plug to a suitable power outlet.
- To start the tool, press the ON/OFF trigger switch.
- To stop the tool, release the ON/OFF trigger switch.
