4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the camera's built-in battery using the provided USB cable. Connect the cable to the camera's charging port and a standard 5V USB power adapter (not included). A full charge ensures optimal performance and battery life, especially before relying solely on solar power.

4.2 App Installation and Account Registration

The BEENOZO camera operates with the O-KAM Pro application. Follow these steps to install and set up your account:

  1. Download the App: Scan the QR code provided on the product packaging or in the quick start guide, or search for "O-KAM Pro" in your device's app store (Google Play Store for Android, Apple App Store for iOS).
  2. Register Account: Open the O-KAM Pro app. If you are a new user, select "Register" and follow the on-screen prompts to create an account using your email address. If you already have an account, simply log in.

4.3 Connecting to Wi-Fi

Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The camera does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your camera:

  1. In the O-KAM Pro app, tap "Add Device" or the "+" icon.
  2. Select your camera model or choose "Add Camera Manually".
  3. Follow the prompts to enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.
  4. The app will generate a QR code. Hold your phone's screen in front of the camera lens (approx. 15-20 cm away) until you hear a confirmation sound from the camera, indicating successful connection.
  5. Once connected, you can name your camera and begin live viewing.

4.4 Physical Installation

Choose a suitable location for your camera and solar panel. Consider areas with good Wi-Fi signal and direct sunlight exposure for the solar panel.

  1. Mounting Location: Identify a stable surface (wall, eaves) that provides the desired viewing angle and is within Wi-Fi range.
  2. Drill Holes: Use the mounting bracket as a template to mark and drill holes. Insert wall plugs if mounting on masonry.
  3. Attach Bracket: Securely fasten the camera mounting bracket to the surface using the provided screws.
  4. Attach Camera: Mount the camera onto the bracket and adjust its angle for optimal coverage.
  5. Solar Panel Placement: Install the solar panel in a location that receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day. Connect the solar panel cable to the camera's charging port.
