Introduction
The Miroir Drivvplay m1002-6 is a portable display designed to bring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality to your vehicle. Setup
1. Mounting the Device
- Choose a Location: Select a suitable flat surface on your dashboard or windshield that does not obstruct your view or interfere with airbags.
- Clean the Surface: Ensure the chosen surface is clean and dry for optimal adhesion.
- Attach the Mount:
- Suction Cup Mount: Press the suction cup firmly against the surface and engage the locking lever.
- 3M Adhesive Mount: Peel the protective film from the adhesive base and press firmly onto the surface for at least 30 seconds. Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to fully cure before attaching the device.
- Attach the Drivvplay Unit: Slide the Miroir Drivvplay unit onto the mount until it clicks securely into place. Adjust the viewing angle as needed.
2. Power Connection
- Insert the car charger into your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket).
- Connect the other end of the power cable to the designated power input port on the Miroir Drivvplay unit.
- The device should power on automatically when the vehicle's ignition is turned on.
3. Audio Output Connection (Optional)
To output audio through your car's stereo system, choose one of the following methods:
- AUX Cable: Connect the provided AUX cable from the Miroir Drivvplay's AUX output to your car stereo's AUX input. Select AUX as the input source on your car stereo.
- FM Transmitter: On the Miroir Drivvplay, select the FM Transmitter option and choose an unused FM frequency. Tune your car stereo to the same FM frequency.
- Bluetooth: If your car stereo supports Bluetooth audio input, you can pair the Miroir Drivvplay with your car stereo. (Note: This is separate from pairing your phone to the Drivvplay for CarPlay/Android Auto).
Operating Instructions
1. Initial Power On and Language Selection
Upon first power-on, the device may prompt you to select your preferred language. Follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Connecting to Apple CarPlay / Android Auto
- Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your smartphone.
- On the Miroir Drivvplay, select either the "CarPlay" or "Android Auto" icon.
- The device will display a Bluetooth name. On your smartphone, go to Bluetooth settings and search for this device name.
- Pair your smartphone with the Miroir Drivvplay via Bluetooth.
- Once paired, the device will automatically establish a Wi-Fi connection for CarPlay or Android Auto functionality.
- Your phone's CarPlay or Android Auto interface will appear on the Drivvplay screen.
Note: For optimal performance, ensure your smartphone's operating system is up to date.
3. Using the 4K Dash Cam
The Miroir Drivvplay includes an integrated 4K dash cam for recording your drives.
- SD Card: Ensure a compatible SD card (FAT32 format recommended) is inserted into the designated slot for recording.
- Recording: The dash cam typically begins recording automatically when the device powers on. Check the on-screen indicator for recording status.
- Settings: Access the dash cam settings through the device's main menu to adjust resolution, loop recording, G-sensor sensitivity, and other preferences.
- Viewing Footage: Footage can be viewed directly on the Drivvplay screen or by removing the SD card and inserting it into a computer.
4. Bluetooth Connectivity (for non-CarPlay/Android Auto devices)
You can connect other Bluetooth-enabled devices for audio streaming or hands-free calling.
- On the Miroir Drivvplay, navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
- Enable Bluetooth on your device (e.g., another smartphone, tablet).
- Search for available devices on your device and select the Miroir Drivvplay.
- Confirm pairing on both devices.
5. USB Port Functionality
The USB port can be used for:
- Charging your smartphone or other USB-powered devices.
- Connecting to a USB storage device for media playback (check supported formats in specifications).
6. Siri Voice Control / Google Assistant
When connected via CarPlay or Android Auto, you can activate your smartphone's voice assistant (Siri or Google Assistant) by pressing the voice command button on the Drivvplay (if available) or by using the "Hey Siri" / "Hey Google" command.
