Setup and Assembly

1. Charging the Battery

  1. Connect the charger to a standard power outlet.
  2. Slide the battery pack onto the charger. Ensure it clicks into place.
  3. The charger's indicator light will show the charging status. Refer to the charger manual for specific light patterns.
  4. Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.

Note: It is recommended to fully charge the battery before first use.

2. Installing and Removing the Battery Pack

  • To Install: Align the battery pack with the battery port on the drill handle. Slide the battery into the handle until it locks securely with a click.
  • To Remove: Press the battery release button (usually located on the front or sides of the battery pack) and slide the battery out of the handle.

  1. Ensure the drill is off and the battery is removed for safety.
  2. Twist the front collar of the keyless chuck counter-clockwise to open the chuck jaws.
  3. Insert the drill bit or driver bit into the chuck, ensuring it is centered.
  4. Twist the front collar clockwise to tighten the chuck jaws securely around the bit. Hand-tighten firmly.
  5. To Remove: Twist the front collar counter-clockwise to loosen the jaws and pull the bit out.

4. Adjusting the Clutch and Speed Settings

  • Clutch Setting: Rotate the clutch collar (numbered 1-18) to select the desired torque. Lower numbers are for smaller screws and softer materials, while higher numbers are for larger screws and harder materials. The drill icon setting is for drilling applications, providing maximum torque.
  • Speed Setting: Use the 2-speed selector switch located on top of the drill. Position '1' provides lower speed (0-380 RPM) for high-torque applications like driving screws. Position '2' provides higher speed (0-1450 RPM) for faster drilling.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Drilling and Driving

  1. Ensure the correct bit is installed and the clutch/speed settings are appropriate for the task.
  2. Hold the drill firmly with both hands if necessary, maintaining a balanced stance.
  3. Place the tip of the bit on the workpiece.
  4. Press the variable speed trigger to start the drill. Apply steady, even pressure.
  5. Release the trigger to stop the drill.

2. Forward/Reverse Rotation and Lock

The forward/reverse selector switch is located above the trigger.

  • Push the switch to the left for forward rotation (driving screws, drilling).
  • Push the switch to the right for reverse rotation (removing screws, backing out bits).
  • When the switch is in the center position, the trigger is locked, preventing accidental operation. Always engage the lock when not in use or when changing bits.

3. LED Work Light

The built-in LED light automatically illuminates when the trigger is pressed, providing visibility in dimly lit work areas. It remains on for a short period after the trigger is released.

4. Belt Clip Usage

The included belt clip can be attached to either side of the drill for convenient temporary storage while working. This allows for hands-free movement between tasks.
