3. Setup

3.1 Initial Power On

  1. Locate the power switch: The power on/off switch is positioned underneath the Caps Lock keycap.
  2. Carefully remove the Caps Lock keycap using the provided keycap puller.
  3. Toggle the switch to the 'ON' position.
  4. Replace the Caps Lock keycap.

3.2 Connecting the Keyboard

The Rainy 75 supports three connection modes: Wired, 2.4G Wireless, and Bluetooth.

Wired Connection:

  • Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the keyboard's port and the other end to your computer's USB port.
  • The keyboard will automatically switch to wired mode.

2.4G Wireless Connection:

  • Plug the 2.4GHz wireless receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  • Press Fn + 4 on the keyboard to activate 2.4G wireless mode. The indicator light will flash, then remain solid when connected.

Bluetooth Connection:

  • Press Fn + 1, Fn + 2, or Fn + 3 to select a Bluetooth channel. The indicator light will flash rapidly.
  • On your device (computer, tablet, smartphone), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
  • Select "Rainy 75" from the list of available devices to pair. The indicator light will become solid upon successful pairing.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Function Keys (Fn Combinations)

The Rainy 75 utilizes an Fn key for various secondary functions:

  • Fn + 1/2/3: Switch Bluetooth channels.
  • Fn + 4: Switch to 2.4G wireless mode.
  • Fn + 5: Switch to wired mode.
  • Fn + Backspace: Delete key.
  • Fn + F1-F12: Multimedia and system functions (refer to keycap legends).
  • Fn + TAB: Reconnect in wireless mode if connection is lost.

5. Maintenance

  4. Press the new switch firmly into place until it clicks. Ensure the pins are not bent.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Connectivity Issues

  • Keyboard not connecting (Wireless): Ensure the keyboard is powered on (switch under Caps Lock). For 2.4G, verify the dongle is securely plugged in and press Fn + 4. For Bluetooth, ensure the correct channel (Fn + 1/2/3) is selected and the device is in pairing mode. Try pressing Fn + TAB to force a reconnection.
  • Intermittent connection: Ensure the keyboard is within range of the receiver/device. Avoid obstructions. Check battery level.
  • Wired connection not working: Try a different USB port or cable. Ensure the cable is fully inserted.

6.2 RGB Lighting Not Working

  • Ensure the keyboard is powered on.
  • Check brightness settings using Fn + [{ and Fn + ]}.
  • If using VIA, ensure no lighting profiles are overriding manual controls.

6.3 Keys Not Responding

  • Check if the switch is properly seated. Remove the keycap and switch, then reinsert.
  • If a specific switch is faulty, replace it with one of the spare switches provided.
