3.2 Outdoor Sensor Installation:
- Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the outdoor sensor and insert 3xAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
- Mounting Location: Choose an outdoor location that is open and unobstructed to ensure accurate readings for wind, rain, and temperature.
- Mount the sensor at least 1.5 meters (5 feet) above the ground.
- Ensure the wind cups and wind vane are free to rotate.
- Avoid placing it near large metal objects, trees, or buildings that could interfere with wind flow or wireless signal.
- Leveling: Use the integrated bubble level on the sensor to ensure it is perfectly horizontal. This is critical for accurate rainfall measurement.
- Secure Mounting: Use the provided installation accessories (screws, mounting pole/bracket) to securely attach the sensor to a pole or suitable structure.
- Pairing: The outdoor sensor should automatically pair with the main display unit once both are powered on. Allow a few minutes for the data to synchronize.
