Unpacking
Carefully remove the iron and all accessories from the packaging. Dispose of all packaging materials responsibly. Ensure all components are present and undamaged.
First Use
Before using the iron for the first time, remove any protective film or stickers from the soleplate. It is normal for a slight odor or smoke to be emitted during the first few minutes of operation as manufacturing residues burn off. This is harmless and will cease after a short period.
Filling the Water Tank
Always unplug the iron from the power outlet before filling the water tank. Use the provided water cup for accurate filling.
- Ensure the steam control selector is set to the 'Dry Ironing' position (no steam).
- Open the water filling inlet cover.
- Hold the iron horizontally and slowly pour water into the tank using the measuring cup, being careful not to exceed the 'MAX' fill line. The tank capacity is 350 ml.
- Close the water filling inlet cover securely.

Operating Instructions
Corded or Cordless Operation
The Livoo DOM483 iron offers flexibility with both corded and cordless use.
- Corded Use: Keep the iron attached to its charging base, which remains plugged into the power outlet. This provides continuous power for longer ironing sessions.
- Cordless Use: Place the iron on its charging base to heat up. Once the indicator light shows it's ready, lift the iron from the base for cordless ironing. Return it to the base periodically (e.g., when adjusting garments) to maintain temperature.
Temperature Adjustment
Select the appropriate temperature for your fabric type using the temperature control dial. Refer to the garment's care label for guidance. Always start with lower temperatures for delicate fabrics and increase as needed.

Steam Settings
The iron features variable steam output from 0 to 30 g/min, a spray function, and a powerful 120 g/min steam shot.
- Dry Ironing: Set the steam control selector to the 'Dry Ironing' position. This is suitable for delicate fabrics or when no steam is desired.
- Continuous Steam: For steam ironing, ensure the water tank is filled and the iron is heated to the appropriate temperature (usually indicated by the temperature dial's steam zone). Adjust the steam control selector to the desired steam level (0-30 g/min).
- Steam Shot (Pressing): Press the steam shot button for an extra burst of steam (120 g/min) to remove stubborn wrinkles. Wait a few seconds between shots to allow the iron to reheat.
- Spray Function: Press the spray button to lightly moisten fabrics, which can help in smoothing out wrinkles.
Ironing Tips
- Sort garments by fabric type and iron those requiring lower temperatures first.
- For best results, iron fabrics while they are slightly damp.
- Always check garment care labels for specific ironing instructions.

Maintenance
Self-Cleaning Function
The self-cleaning function helps remove mineral deposits and impurities from the steam chamber, prolonging the life of your iron.
- Fill the water tank to the 'MAX' line.
- Set the steam control to 'Dry Ironing' and the temperature dial to 'MAX'.
- Plug in the iron and allow it to heat up until the indicator light turns off.
- Unplug the iron. Hold it horizontally over a sink.
- Press and hold the self-clean button (if available, or refer to specific instructions for your model's self-clean mechanism). Hot water and steam will be expelled from the soleplate, carrying impurities.
- Release the button when the water tank is empty.
- Reheat the iron and iron an old cloth to dry the soleplate.
Anti-Drip System
The anti-drip system prevents water from dripping from the soleplate when the iron's temperature is too low for steam production. If you notice dripping, ensure the iron has reached the correct temperature for steam ironing.
Emptying and Storage
After each use, unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely. Empty any remaining water from the tank. Store the iron upright on its charging base in a safe, dry place.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Iron does not heat up. | Not plugged in; power outlet fault; iron not properly seated on base (cordless). | Check power connection; try a different outlet; ensure iron is correctly placed on the charging base. |
| No steam or insufficient steam. | Water tank empty; temperature too low for steam; steam vents blocked; steam control set to 'Dry Ironing'. | Fill water tank; set temperature to steam zone; perform self-clean; adjust steam control. |
| Water drips from soleplate. | Temperature too low for steam (anti-drip active); water tank overfilled. | Allow iron to heat fully; do not overfill water tank. |
| White flakes or brown stains on garments. | Mineral deposits in the iron. | Perform self-cleaning function. Use distilled or demineralized water. |
