6. Installation Guide

Location Requirements:

  • Install indoors in a well-ventilated area such as a balcony or kitchen.
  • Ensure sufficient clearance around the unit for maintenance and proper ventilation.
  • The unit must be wall-mounted.
  • Avoid locations exposed to direct sunlight, rain, or freezing temperatures unless properly protected.

Mounting the Unit:

  1. Choose a suitable wall location, ensuring it can support the weight of the unit when full of water.
  2. Mark the drilling points for the mounting brackets using the provided template or measurements.
  3. Drill holes and insert the 60mm anchors.
  4. Secure the mounting brackets to the wall using the ST4 x 30mm screws.
  5. Carefully hang the water heater onto the mounted brackets.

Water and Gas Connections:

  • Water Inlet (G1/2"): Connect the cold water supply to the designated inlet. Ensure all connections are sealed with the provided gaskets.
  • Water Outlet (G1/2"): Connect the hot water outlet to your desired fixtures (e.g., shower head, kitchen sink).
  • Gas Inlet (G1/2"): Connect the LPG gas supply line to the gas inlet. Use appropriate gas-rated hoses and fittings. Perform a leak test after connection.

Flue System Installation:

Proper flue installation is critical for safety to vent combustion gases. Follow local regulations and manufacturer guidelines for flue pipe sizing and routing. Ensure the flue pipe extends sufficiently outdoors and is free from obstructions.

7. Operating Instructions

Initial Startup:

  1. Ensure 2 D batteries are correctly installed in the battery compartment for ignition.
  2. Open the main gas supply valve.
  3. Open a hot water tap to allow water to flow through the unit.
  4. The unit will automatically ignite and begin heating water.
  5. Adjust the water flow and gas knobs on the front panel to achieve the desired water temperature.

Temperature Adjustment:

Use the control knobs on the front panel to adjust the gas flow and water flow. Increasing gas flow or decreasing water flow will result in hotter water. Always adjust gradually to avoid scalding.

8. Maintenance

Regular Checks:

  • Inspect the gas supply line and connections for any signs of leaks or damage periodically.
  • Check the flue pipe for obstructions or corrosion.
  • Ensure the ventilation openings are clear and not blocked.
  • Clean the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Professional Servicing:

It is recommended to have the water heater inspected and serviced by a qualified technician at least once a year to ensure optimal performance and safety.
