Setup Guide

1. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the Retevis RT79 Body Camera. Use the provided Type-C charging cable and adapter.

  1. Locate the Type-C charging port on the side of the camera, usually protected by a rubber flap.
  2. Gently open the rubber flap.
  3. Insert the Type-C charging cable into the port.
  4. Connect the other end of the cable to the adapter and plug it into a power outlet.
  5. The charging indicator light will illuminate. Once fully charged, the light may change color or turn off.

2. Attaching Clips and Brackets

The RT79 comes with various accessories for flexible mounting. Choose the appropriate clip or bracket based on your usage scenario.

  • Shoulder Clip/Short Clip: These clips allow you to attach the camera to clothing, such as a shirt pocket or jacket lapel. Simply slide the camera onto the clip until it securely locks into place.
  • Car Suction Bracket: For in-vehicle use, attach the camera to the car suction bracket. This bracket can be mounted on a windshield or dashboard. Ensure the surface is clean and smooth for optimal suction.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off and Basic Recording

To power on the camera, press and hold the Power button until the screen illuminates. To power off, press and hold the Power button again until the device shuts down.

  • Once powered on, the camera is typically in standby mode.
  • Press the Record button (usually a prominent button on the front or side) to start recording. Press it again to stop.
  • The camera supports loop recording, automatically overwriting the oldest files when the memory is full.

2. Emergency Alarm Function

The RT79 features an emergency alarm to alert others during critical situations. This function activates a loud sound and flashing red-blue lights.

Maintenance
