Setup

1. Inserting Batteries

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
  2. Slide the cover open.
  3. Insert the two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely until it clicks into place.

2. Inserting Memory Card

  1. With the battery compartment open, locate the SD card slot.
  2. Insert the 32GB SD memory card with the metal contacts facing the front of the camera until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, gently push the card in until it springs out.

3. Attaching the Wrist Strap

Thread the wrist strap through the strap lug on the side of the camera to prevent accidental drops.

Operating the Camera

Powering On/Off

Press the Power button located on the top of the camera to turn it on or off.

Basic Controls

The camera features an intuitive button layout on the rear for easy navigation:

Taking Photos

  1. Turn on the camera.
  2. Frame your shot using the 2.7-inch LCD screen.
  3. Press the Shutter button halfway down to focus. The focus frame will turn green when focus is achieved.
  4. Press the Shutter button all the way down to capture the image.

Recording Videos

The FZ45 supports 1080p Full HD video recording.

  1. Switch to video recording mode using the MODE button if necessary.
  2. Press the dedicated Record button (often marked with a red dot) to start recording.
  3. Press the Record button again to stop recording.

Using the Flash

The built-in flash can be adjusted for various lighting conditions. Press the Flash button (often the up arrow on the directional pad) to cycle through modes like Auto Flash, Fill-in Flash, Red-eye Reduction, and Flash Off.
