5. Setup
5.1 Charging the Battery
- Connect the charger to a power outlet.
- Insert the 2.0Ah lithium-ion battery into the charger.
- The charging indicator on the battery will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes 1 to 1.5 hours.
- Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.
5.2 Installing/Removing the Battery
- Installation: Align the battery with the battery slot on the polisher and slide it in until it clicks into place.
- Removal: Press the battery release button and slide the battery out.
5.3 Attaching Accessories
The polisher comes with various accessories for different tasks:
- Sanding/Polishing Pads: Attach the desired sandpaper, wool pad, microfiber pad, flat sponge, or wavy sponge to the backing pad. Ensure it is centered and securely fastened.
- Replacement Polishing Discs: These can be swapped out as needed for different materials (metal, plastic, glass).

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Powering On/Off
- Ensure the battery is securely installed.
- To turn on the polisher, press the power switch.
- To turn off the polisher, release the power switch.
6.2 Speed Adjustment
The KIMO QIMO-5005 features a 6-speed adjustment dial, allowing you to select the optimal speed for your task. The available speeds range from 994 RPM to 3634 RPM.
- Low Speeds (1-2, approx. 994-1384 RPM): Ideal for delicate finishing, waxing, and light polishing to achieve a mirror-like finish.
- Medium Speeds (3-4, approx. 2064-2640 RPM): Suitable for general polishing, compound application, and removing minor imperfections.
- High Speeds (5-6, approx. 3234-3634 RPM): For heavy-duty sanding, removing stubborn water spots, oxidation, and deep scratches.
Rotate the speed adjustment dial to select the desired RPM. The polisher also features a one-touch switch between low-speed mode and the currently set speed for quick adjustments during operation.

- Movement: Move the polisher slowly and evenly over the surface in overlapping passes. Avoid applying excessive pressure, as the tool's weight is usually sufficient.
- Versatility: This polisher is suitable for car bodies, front glass, roofs, bumpers, headlights, plastic parts, and chrome parts. It can also be used for household tasks such as polishing wooden furniture, removing rust from metal products, and cleaning stainless steel in bathrooms and kitchens.
