3. Safety Information
- Do not store sensitive items directly on the bottom of the safe. Use a shelf or tray to prevent moisture damage.
- Keep the safe locked and the combination confidential.
- Do not store the override key inside the safe. Keep it in a secure, separate location.
- Ensure the safe is placed on a level, stable surface.
- Periodically check the batteries in the digital lock and replace them as needed.
4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the safe from its packaging.
- Inspect the safe for any signs of damage. Contact customer support if damage is found.
- Locate the instruction manual, override key(s), and any included accessories.
4.2 Battery Installation
The digital lock requires batteries to operate. Use four (4) AA alkaline batteries (not included).
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the digital keypad.
- Slide the battery cover off.
- Insert four AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery cover.
4.3 Setting Your Digital Combination
Your safe comes with a factory-set combination. It is highly recommended to change this to a personal combination immediately.
- With the safe door open, locate the red button on the inside of the door, near the hinge.
- Press the red button. You will hear a beep, and the green light on the keypad will illuminate.
- Enter your new 5-digit combination on the keypad.
- Press the '#' key. You will hear a confirmation beep.
- Test your new combination with the door open before closing it.
4.4 Installing the Locking Drawer
The locking drawer can be positioned at various heights within your SentrySafe SFW123FUL.
- Open the safe door.
- Identify the desired shelf supports or grooves inside the safe.
- Slide the locking drawer onto the supports, ensuring it is level and secure.
- Close the drawer and use the provided key to lock it for privacy.

4.5 Bolting Down the Safe (Optional)
For added security against theft, the safe can be bolted to the floor. Hardware for bolting down is included.
- Position the safe in the desired location.
- Open the safe door and remove any interior shelves or trays to access the bolt-down holes.
- Mark the drilling locations on the floor through the holes in the safe.
- Move the safe and drill pilot holes according to the hardware instructions.
- Reposition the safe over the holes and secure it using the provided bolt-down hardware.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Opening the Safe with Digital Combination
- Enter your 5-digit combination.
- Press the '#' key.
- Within 4 seconds, turn the handle clockwise to open the door.
5.2 Opening the Safe with Override Key
The override key provides emergency access if batteries fail or the combination is forgotten.
- Locate the keyhole cover on the digital keypad.
- Remove the cover.
- Insert the override key and turn it clockwise.
- Turn the handle clockwise to open the door.
5.3 Locking the Safe
- Close the safe door firmly.
- Turn the handle counter-clockwise until it locks into place.
- Ensure the door is fully secured by gently pulling on the handle.
5.4 Using the Locking Drawer
- To open the drawer, insert the key and turn it to the unlock position.
- To lock the drawer, close the lid and turn the key to the lock position. Remove the key.

- Battery Replacement: Replace the batteries in the digital lock annually, or immediately if the low battery indicator appears (usually a series of rapid beeps or a flashing light upon entry).
