4. Installation
The TONGOU Smart RCBO is a 2-pole modular device designed for quick installation on a 35mm DIN rail.
Installation Steps:
- Power Disconnection: Ensure the main power supply to the electrical panel is completely disconnected before beginning installation.
- Mounting: Snap the RCBO onto a standard 35mm DIN rail. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Wiring: Connect the incoming live (L) and neutral (N) wires to the top terminals (IN). Connect the outgoing live (L) and neutral (N) wires to the bottom terminals (OUT). Use screw terminals for secure connections. The maximum cable capacity is 10mm².
- Verification: Double-check all connections for tightness and correct polarity.
- Power Restoration: Once installation is complete and verified, restore the main power supply.

5. Operating Instructions
Manual Operation:
- To turn the power ON, push the toggle switch upwards.
- To turn the power OFF, push the toggle switch downwards.
Automatic Reset Function:
The device features an automatic reset function for protection against overload, overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and electrical leakage. If a fault occurs and the device trips, it will attempt to reset automatically.
- If the device attempts an automatic or remote reset 3 times within 15 minutes, this function will be disabled for safety.
- To reactivate the automatic reset function, you must either keep the switch closed (ON) for 15 minutes or restart the power supply to the device.

Smart Remote Control:
The Smart RCBO can be controlled and monitored remotely via Wi-Fi (2.4GHz frequency) using the TUYA or Smart Life application on your iOS or Android device.
- App Installation: Download and install the TUYA or Smart Life app from your device's app store.
- Device Pairing: Follow the in-app instructions to pair your Smart RCBO with your Wi-Fi network.
- Remote Control: Use the app to remotely turn the device on/off, set protection parameters (e.g., leakage threshold 30mA-100mA, current 1-40A), and monitor real-time data.
- Voice Control: Integrate with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice-activated control.

6. Maintenance
The TONGOU Smart RCBO is designed for reliable operation with minimal maintenance. However, periodic checks are recommended.
- Visual Inspection: Periodically inspect the device for any signs of physical damage, discoloration, or loose connections.
- Functionality Test: If applicable, perform a test of the residual current function (usually via a 'Test' button on the device, if present) as recommended by local regulations.
- Cleaning: Ensure the device is free from dust and debris. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Smart RCBO, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Device Not Powering On: Check the main power supply to the electrical panel. Ensure the RCBO toggle switch is in the ON position.
- Frequent Tripping: This indicates a fault condition (e.g., overcurrent, short-circuit, leakage). Identify and rectify the cause of the fault in the connected circuit. If the automatic reset function is disabled, manually reset the device or cycle power.
- No Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. Check your router's signal strength and proximity to the device. Re-attempt the pairing process in the TUYA/Smart Life app.
- Remote Control Issues: Verify your smartphone has an active internet connection. Ensure the app is updated to the latest version.
If problems persist after following these steps, please contact customer support.
