Thank you for choosing the Sytas Ergonomic Office Chair. This manual provides essential information for the assembly, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new office chair. Please read these instructions carefully before use to ensure proper function and longevity of the product.

Safety Information

Always follow basic safety precautions when using this product to reduce the risk of injury. Ensure all components are securely fastened before use. Do not stand on the chair. Do not use the chair if any parts are damaged or missing. Keep children away from the chair during assembly and adjustment. The chair is designed to support up to 300 lbs (approximately 136 kg).

Before assembly, verify that all parts are present and undamaged. Refer to the diagram below for component identification.

Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps for proper assembly. It is recommended to assemble the chair on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.

  1. Attach the Casters to the Base: Insert each caster into the holes at the end of the chair base until they click securely into place.
  2. Insert the Gas Lift: Place the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the chair base. Ensure it is firmly seated.
  3. Assemble the Seat and Mechanism: Attach the seat mechanism to the underside of the seat cushion using the provided screws. Ensure the front of the mechanism faces the front of the seat.
  4. Connect the Backrest: Secure the backrest to the seat mechanism using the designated screws.
  5. Attach the Armrests: Fasten the armrests to the seat using the appropriate screws. Ensure they are aligned correctly.
  6. Install the Headrest: Slide the headrest into the top of the backrest until it locks into position.
  7. Connect Seat to Gas Lift: Carefully place the assembled seat and backrest onto the gas lift cylinder, ensuring it is centered and stable.

Note: All necessary tools and hardware are typically included with the product. Refer to the included assembly diagram for visual guidance.

Operating Instructions

Your Sytas Ergonomic Office Chair offers multiple adjustment features for personalized comfort.

1. Seat Height Adjustment

To adjust the seat height, locate the lever on the right side beneath the seat. Pull the lever upwards while seated to lower the seat. To raise the seat, stand up and pull the lever upwards. Release the lever at the desired height to lock it in place.

2. Recline Function and Tilt Lock

The chair features a tilt function with three recline angles: 90°, 120°, and 145°. Use the same lever as the seat height adjustment. Push the lever inwards to unlock the tilt function, allowing the backrest to recline. Pull the lever outwards to lock the backrest at your desired angle. The chair supports angles for focused work (90°), leisure (120°), and deep recline (145°).

Tilt Tension Adjustment: A round knob located beneath the seat allows you to adjust the tension of the recline. Turn clockwise to increase tension (making it harder to recline) and counter-clockwise to decrease tension (making it easier to recline).

3. Armrest Adjustment

The armrests can be adjusted vertically by up to 3 inches. Locate the button on the side of each armrest. Press the button and slide the armrest up or down to your preferred height. Release the button to lock the armrest in position.

4. Headrest Adjustment

The mesh headrest is adjustable both vertically and rotationally. To adjust the height, gently pull the headrest up or push it down. It can lift approximately 2 inches. To adjust the angle, rotate the headrest up to 45 degrees to find the most comfortable position for your neck.

5. Lumbar Support

The chair features an independent lumbar support designed to conform to the natural curve of your spine, relieving pressure. This support is integrated into the backrest and automatically adjusts to provide optimal support.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your chair, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
