  3. Align the notch on the DDR4 memory module with the key in the slot.
  4. Press down firmly on both ends of the memory module until the clips snap into place.

4.4 Storage Device Installation (SATA & M.2)

  1. SATA Drives: Connect SATA data cables from your storage devices (HDDs/SSDs) to the SATA3.0 ports on the motherboard. Connect power cables from your power supply to the drives.
  2. M.2 NVMe SSD: Insert the M.2 NVMe SSD into the M.2 2280 NVMe x4 slot, securing it with the provided screw.
  3. M.2 NGFF SATA SSD: Insert the M.2 NGFF SATA SSD into the M.2 2280 NGFF SATA SSD slot, securing it with the provided screw.

4.5 Power Connections

  1. Connect the 24-pin ATX power connector from your power supply to the 24-pin power interface on the motherboard.
  2. Connect the 8-pin 12V CPU power connector from your power supply to the 8-pin 12V power interface near the CPU socket.

4.6 Front Panel and Peripheral Connections

  1. Connect the front panel headers (Power LED, HDD LED, Power Switch, Reset Switch) to the corresponding pins on the motherboard (refer to the motherboard layout diagram).
  2. Connect USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 front panel cables to the respective headers.
  3. Connect the front audio panel cable to the F_Audio header.
  4. Install any expansion cards (e.g., graphics card) into the PCIE3.0 x16 or PCIE3.0 x1 slots.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Initial Boot-Up

  1. After all components are installed and connected, ensure your monitor, keyboard, and mouse are connected.
  2. Turn on the power supply and press the power button on your computer case.
  3. The system should power on and display the BIOS/UEFI splash screen.

5.2 BIOS/UEFI Setup

To enter the BIOS/UEFI setup utility, press the designated key (usually DEL or F2) repeatedly during the initial boot-up sequence. Within the BIOS, you can configure:

  • Boot order for storage devices.
  • System date and time.
  • CPU and memory settings.
  • Peripheral configurations.

5.3 Operating System Installation

Once BIOS settings are configured, you can proceed with installing your preferred operating system (e.g., Windows, Linux) from a bootable USB drive or DVD. Follow the on-screen instructions provided by your operating system installer.

5.4 Driver Installation

After installing the operating system, install the necessary drivers for the motherboard components. These typically include chipset drivers, network drivers (RTL8111H Gigabit Network), audio drivers (ALC897 7.1 Channel), and any other peripheral drivers. Drivers are usually provided on a CD/DVD with the motherboard or can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean dust from the motherboard and components using compressed air. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
  • BIOS Updates: Periodically check the manufacturer's website for BIOS updates. BIOS updates can improve system stability, compatibility, and performance. Follow the update instructions carefully to avoid damaging the motherboard.
  • Component Checks: Ensure all cables and components are securely seated. Loose connections can cause system instability.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power: Check all power connections (24-pin ATX, 8-pin 12V CPU, power supply to components). Ensure the power supply switch is on.
  • No Display: Verify that the monitor is connected to the correct video output (motherboard or graphics card) and is powered on. Reseat the graphics card and RAM modules.
  • System Instability/Crashes: Check RAM seating. Ensure CPU cooler is properly installed and making good contact. Verify power supply is sufficient for all components.
  • Operating System Not Booting: Check boot order in BIOS. Ensure the operating system drive is detected.
  • Peripheral Not Detected: Ensure the peripheral is correctly connected. Check device manager in the operating system for driver issues.
