Setup

1. Charging the Earbuds and Case

Before first use, fully charge the earbuds and charging case. Place the earbuds into the charging case and close the lid. Connect the charging case to a power source using a USB-C cable (not included). The indicator light on the case will show the charging status. A full charge provides up to 8 hours of playback for the earbuds and up to 35.5 hours total with the charging case. A quick 10-minute charge can provide approximately 6.5 hours of playback.

2. Pairing with Your Device

The CMF BY NOTHING Buds utilize Bluetooth 5.3 for a stable and efficient connection, supporting Fast Pair for quick setup.

  1. Open the charging case. The earbuds will automatically enter pairing mode (indicated by a flashing light).
  2. On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), enable Bluetooth.
  3. Select "CMF Buds" from the list of available devices.
  4. Once connected, the indicator light will turn solid, and you will hear a confirmation tone.

For Nothing smartphones, Fast Pair will automatically detect the earbuds when the case is opened, prompting a quick connection.

3. Nothing X App Integration

Download the Nothing X app from your device's app store to unlock full customization options for your CMF BY NOTHING Buds. The app allows you to:

  • Adjust Ultra Bass levels.
  • Customize touch controls.
  • Switch between Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency modes.

Operating Instructions

1. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Transparency Mode

Your CMF BY NOTHING Buds feature 42dB Active Noise Cancellation to block out ambient noise and Transparency Mode to let you hear your surroundings.

  • ANC Mode: Reduces external noise, ideal for travel or noisy environments.
  • Transparency Mode: Allows ambient sounds to pass through, keeping you aware of your surroundings without removing the earbuds.

Switch between modes using the customizable touch controls on the earbuds or through the Nothing X app.

2. Touch Controls

The earbuds are equipped with touch-sensitive areas for media control and call management. Default controls are:
