- To select a specific temperature, press the temperature selection button (refer to your specific model's controls). The kettle will heat the water to the desired temperature and maintain it.
- Note that heating to specific temperatures below boiling may take longer as the kettle cycles on and off to maintain accuracy.
Maintenance and Cleaning
General Cleaning
- Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface.
- Never immerse the kettle body or power base in water or any other liquid.
- The removable filter can be rinsed under running water. Use a soft brush if necessary to remove any deposits.
Descaling
Mineral deposits (limescale) can build up inside the kettle over time, especially in hard water areas. Regular descaling is recommended to maintain performance and extend the kettle's lifespan.
- Fill the kettle with 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water. Alternatively, use a commercial descaling solution according to its instructions.
- Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Allow the mixture to soak in the kettle for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy buildup.
- Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly with fresh water several times to remove any vinegar odor or descaling solution residue.
- If necessary, repeat the process.
