4.1 Inserting the MicroSD Card
Before mounting, ensure the MicroSD card (Class 10 or higher, up to 256GB recommended) is inserted into the designated slot on the side of the front camera. Push until it clicks into place.
4.2 Mounting the Front Camera
- Clean the windshield area where you intend to mount the camera.
- Attach the adhesive mount or suction cup mount to the camera.
- Peel off the protective film from the adhesive pad or press the suction cup firmly against the windshield, ensuring a clear view of the road.
- Adjust the camera angle to capture the desired view.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when connected to power and your vehicle's ignition is turned on. It will power off automatically when the ignition is turned off.
5.2 Recording Modes
- Loop Recording: The default mode. Video is recorded in continuous loops (e.g., 1, 3, or 5-minute segments). When the memory card is full, the oldest unlocked files are overwritten.
- Emergency Recording (G-Sensor): If the G-sensor detects a sudden impact or collision, the current video segment will be automatically locked and saved to a protected folder, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording.
- Parking Monitor: When enabled (with hardwire kit), the camera will automatically start recording if it detects motion or impact while the vehicle is parked.
5.3 Menu Navigation
Use the physical buttons on the dash cam to navigate through the menu options. Typically, there are buttons for Menu, Up, Down, OK/Confirm, and Mode. Refer to the on-screen prompts for specific functions.
5.4 Playback
To view recorded videos, enter playback mode via the menu. You can browse through files and play them directly on the dash cam screen. For larger viewing, remove the MicroSD card and insert it into a computer or compatible device.
6. Maintenance
- Format MicroSD Card: It is recommended to format the MicroSD card regularly (e.g., once a month) to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. This can usually be done through the camera's menu settings.
- Clean Lenses: Gently wipe the camera lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear video quality. Avoid abrasive materials.
- Check Connections: Periodically check all cable connections to ensure they are secure.
- Firmware Updates: Check the Rexing website for any available firmware updates for your DT2 model. Updating firmware can improve performance and add new features.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Camera Not Powering On
- Ensure the car charger is properly plugged into the cigarette lighter socket and the vehicle's ignition is on.
- Check the fuse in your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket.
- Try a different power source or USB cable to rule out cable issues.
7.2 Recording Errors / Card Full
- Format the MicroSD card through the camera's menu.
- Ensure you are using a Class 10 or higher MicroSD card.
- If many locked files exist, manually delete them or format the card.
- Consider replacing the MicroSD card if issues persist, as cards can degrade over time.
7.3 Poor Video Quality
- Clean the camera lenses.
- Ensure the protective film has been removed from the lens.
- Check video resolution settings in the menu.
7.4 Rear Camera Not Working
- Ensure the rear camera cable is securely connected to both the rear camera and the front unit.
