3. Setup and Preparation

3.1 Battery Installation and Charging

Ensure the helicopter battery is fully charged before connecting it. Do not let battery wires interfere with the landing gear or internal gears.

3.2 Remote Control Setup and Pairing

The OMPHOBBY M1 EVO comes with a RadioMaster Pocket remote control. Follow these steps to power on, select the model, and bind the remote to the helicopter:

1. Power on the remote control.
2. Press the MDL button to access the model selection menu.
3. Select the corresponding aircraft model (OMPHOBBY M1 EVO).
4. Navigate to the 'Setup' menu and select 'Bnd' (Bind).
5. Connect the helicopter's battery. The helicopter will automatically attempt to bind with the remote.
6. Once connected, the remote control will indicate a successful connection.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Pre-Flight Checks

• Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely connected.
• Check that all switches on the remote control are in their upper position.
• Calibrate the remote control by pulling the stick to both sides until the helicopter blades twitch up and down.
• Test all control surfaces by pushing and pulling the control stick while keeping the throttle stick at its lowest position.

4.2 Flight Modes

The M1 EVO offers three flight modes:

• Stabilizing Attitude Mode: Recommended for beginners. Provides stability and easier control.
• Soft 3D Mode: For intermediate pilots, offering more agility.
• Aggressive 3D Mode: For advanced pilots, allowing full acrobatic capabilities.

Beginners should practice in 6G mode (stabilizing attitude) first, then try 3G mode (soft/aggressive 3D) after mastering basic functions.

4.3 Takeoff and Landing

• Takeoff: Gently push the throttle stick to lift the helicopter. For beginners, fly at a low altitude. Avoid pushing the throttle stick left/right until the helicopter is airborne, as this may stop the tail rotor.
• Hovering: After takeoff, gently control the throttle stick to adjust altitude. Use the right stick to adjust forward/backward and left/right attitude, ensuring the tail remains stable and faces you.
• Landing: Once stable hovering is achieved, slowly control the helicopter to land.

5. Maintenance

• Rotor Blades: Inspect main and tail rotor blades for any damage before each flight. Replace damaged blades immediately using the provided spare parts.
